Blasting PC Tinker in the bungled Bistro robbery, Scott’s escape from Weatherfield police seems to have been ignored, and it’s now the next day, with Scott hiding behind various ginnels and looking all shifty! We last saw him in a balaclava (not on Balaclava Terrace, which is an opportunity missed) and waving a gun about, so not sure what happened there, but at least Craig is ok. Scott does manage to spook Johnny into submission though and he decides to track down the security guard they left injured in the original raid. Does anybody else wish us viewers had seen this robbery they were originally involved in, for context maybe?
I wasn't even surprised when Scott started waving a gun about, I mean he should have just asked Eileen to dispose of it in a bin on the Red Rec! Anyway, Johnny finds out that Grant died due to the effects of the robbery, and with Johnny’s conscience suitably pricked, the publican finally does the right thing and tells Jenny about this much-maligned past fracas. Has Jenny forgotten she is the daughter of classic Corrie villain, Alan (Rita!) Bradley by any chance? Admittedly she’s upset, but if Johnny hands himself in, and grasses up Scott, surely it would be worse for Jenny? And what about Emma? She seems to be embroiled in this slightly. She may be innocently taking Scott’s money for Oliver’s fund, but hopefully, she won’t be involved in any fallout?
Todd's twisting and malicious meddlings seem reserved for just Paul & Billy, as his guidance with Sean's son Dylan, seems kindly and almost genuine? Nah, I’m not falling for it either. I'm guessing with Summer (V2) due to be home soon, Todd (V2) is hoping that Billy notices his passionate parenting skills and gets back with him? I’m guessing yes, if the new promo pictures released earlier this week, are anything to go by.
Amidst the criminal activities of Weatherfield’s underworld (not the factory), I have enjoyed Evelyn and Arthur’s blossoming relationship, but I do wonder; is Arthur dying, have a dying wife, or is it something less familiar? We got the customary ‘stood outside the hospital’ shot, a few weeks ago, so it was either very unsubtle or a dubious red herring. Either way, I hate seeing our Evelyn broken-hearted so hopefully, the truth will surface.
I did wonder whether Arthur was anything to do with this multi-squillion pound Weatherfield skyscraper development, actually. David’s selling-up and Yasmeen’s finances look to be a precarious position so the only problem I can see (apart from Sally & Tim’s house) is bad boy Geoff! Is the coercive cantankerous letch going to bow down to Alya to sell his half of the house? I very much doubt it. You can’t blame Alya for trying to save her Gran’s asset’s but its a dangerous path she’s heading down - more crime a coming I guess.
Let’s just hope Geoff is next to be facing down the barrel of a gun, metaphorical, or otherwise…

I thought Scott was going to give Emma thousands but it was 200 £?
The best allie that Geoff has is Alya doing her best impression of a "wide mouth frog" with a megaphone. Can grandma's solicitor apply a large piece of sticking plaster over her mouth? Allya seems determined to see her granny doing 10 years as she let's every tactic be known to Geoff. Lose lips sink ships a saying she needs to learn.
I am wondering if Arthur's had prostate or bladder problems, and either needs regular treatments, or can't maintain an erection.
@Popcorn - my hubby and I were mulling over the possibilities of Arthur's hospital visits....either as you say, he's got health problems of his own or even possibly dying, OR, sick family member (wife/child).
I wonder how long Arthur's contract is? That'll be a clue as to how long this relationship will last.
I thought the same when Arthur went to the loo ! I hope they don't kill him off, he is a great character and has brought out Evelyn's softer side. But I can't see Paul Copley staying for long. Like Nu Todd, he is already in the Archers too.
Jeanie (anon): I've stuck through some bad Corrie and revelled in some good, but this Scott storyline has to be one of the most gosh awful that I've ever seen--cringeworthy, right up there with the Kevin-Mollie affair--but even worse in a way because it has spun off a few equally bad sub-plots. It's downright painful watching the swaggering Johnny Connor reduced to this snivelling, pleading wreck. And when did Jenny become such a sanctimonious, self-righteous b----? I seem to remember the little matter of a car, booze and another attractive redhead that Johnny forgave, even took the the blame for! And the storyline of the botched robbery leading to a death was just done a few years ago with Billy. And why on earth is idiot villain Scott so obsessed with the notion of having MS Johnny as his get away driver? And all that nonsense with Faye and Craig--so stagey and artificial; I like Craig but it was like he was performing in some drama workshop. It must be Covid--this is some of the all time worst Corrie I've ever seen. I was even mildly happy to see Gemma (sans quads) and that's saying a lot!
Re your comment about Emma. We could have another of the favourite ‘wrongly accused and get sent to prison’ storylines if someone decides Emma has covered up a crime and taken a bribe. Wouldn’t that be wonderful!
