I'm getting a bit tired of there being no feminine touch at No. 1 Coronation Street (we can't count Tracy). Deirdre's disappeared off our screens and although Ken did say at one point that she was visiting Bev, I'm also quite sure that he mentioned her last night as if she was at home, but we haven't seen her in weeks.
I've grown up with Deirdre around and I love her, she's one of my favourite characters, even when she does ill-advised things like sleep with Dev Alahan. I really hope she's back soon. Maybe she can send Tracy upstairs to play her tapes again.

What? Deirdre was on last week, and the week before that! Shes my favourite character so I notice. She's on as often as the other regulars.
Deidre came back from "Bev's" just as Becky was smashing up their living room. She was in the Rovers last week.
For a minute, I thought perhaps the actress had been punished for having a meltdown when the Barlows' home was smashed up. What's happening with repairs to that house? I haven't read anything more about it.
And Rosie's 3 month absence is to be explained by: She's in Glasgow?
Dierdre and Gail, two middle aged woman, are not getting hardly any screen time, just a two minute appearance - either being insulted by David/Kylie or Tracy. Its not good enough. Give Dierdre a story and not having an affair! What happened to the pottery classes. T
I agree Frosty - I was looking forward to more scenes from the pottery classes. Deirdre was on last week, drinking with Ken, Emily and Norris in the Bistro. But it is odd that Ken (played by a 79 year old) is appearing more than Deirdre (played by a 56 year old). Since Blanche's death, she's not had any storylines (apart from the Lewis saga). Let's take her on a different angle - instead of an affair!
Also, the story about Emily and Rita fighting over Dennis? Not much of a fight - Emily's barely been seen with Dennis (I suppose it was something offscreen and Rita won!) It's odd as it would be great for them to have a scene talking about nostalgia. Even Ken's not had a proper convo with him.
It was mentioned over the last week sometime that Deirdre was "home painting a vase" so it seems she is still doing her pottery.
She might have been on a couple of times but she hasn't been seen with Ken in the whole fiasco much, we need her!
Something was lost in the dynamics when Blanche died. I think it would be great if a long lost aunt showed up to stir things up for Deirdre. A cross between the Aunties and Sylvia.
I'm wondering if Anne K isn't feeling all that well. She sounds like a man..all those fags over the years haven't helped her any. I'd like to see her lay into Tracy once and for all and tell her off. She's been a doormat for that girl far too long IMO.
