Catherine Tyldesley is the newest recruit to Coronation Street as Eva Price, and she was interviewed today on ITV's This Morning. You can watch Catherine's interview here.
For those who can't see the interview, in a nutshell, Catherine says that Eva's a bit of a homing pigeon and always manages to find her mum, Stella, wherever she goes, but Stella's fella, Karl, doesn't get on with Eva. She denies there's any truth to the tabloid rumours that Eva will turn out to be a lesbian and says that Eva will be in to older men - Norris? Ken? Dennis? Yikes!
Catherine says her family's always followed Corrie and she was in it many years ago as a midwife who delivered Sunita's babies when she was cast as Midwife Number Two. She's also acted in Emmerdale but says Corrie was where her heart always was. She's from Manchester originally (and so her accent's spot on, ahem) and says it's great working with Michelle Collins, calling her a legend for her work as Cindy Beale in EastEnders.
