Gary's army career looks likely to be over
Gary Windass's time with the army looks set to be coming to an end in the next few weeks, following his return to the Street because of injury.
After being badly injured in Iraq, and the death of Quinny, actor Mikey North doesn't think Gary will be returning to the profession, and says we'll start to see a very different side to his character.
He said: "I think his army career will be over after this incident. I can't see him wanting to go back at any point. He'll get better but I think an experience like that stays with you for the rest of your life. Gary can never forget the terrible things he's seen."
Anna and Eddie receive the news Gary has been injured in combat on Monday.

This is such a realistic and current storyline, it's quite painfully real.
I fully agree Glenda, one of the best storylines the show is currently running. Being played out brilliantly by Mikey North, Debbie Rush and Steve Huison.
any one know where i could find a dress like carla's in tonights episode please 12/11/2010
thanks
Kimmy what has that got to do with Gary Windass? Dah!
I think this is a good story but hope he doesnt turn back into the bad boy on a downward spiral. Thank goodness Uncle Len has gone.
I liked uncle Len! I wish they'd bring him back. Yes, this is a potentially really good storyline and I'm sure they'll do it really well.
Injured in Iraq???
The Army has no combat troops in Iraq ffs
