Corrie wins two prestigious awards
Coronation Street chalked up two more awards at the Royal Television Society North West Awards. They won for Best Continuing Drama and came up trumps for the Judges Award, which is high honours, indeed! The awards were presented to Tony Warren and William Roache. Tony Warren was particularly touched and said the award meant more to him than the many others he's received because his heart has always been in the Northwest, Manchester and Salford specifically. William Roache was pleased that the awards show that Corrie is still on the top of it's game. They were supported by other cast members, seen here in this photo (courtesy of the Manchester Evening News).
