On this day in Corrie history - July 27th 1981
Here's a little blast from the past, one that perhaps Ken and Deirdre may prefer to forget. On July 27th 1981, Ken Barlow married Deirdre Langton (for the first time). Their wedding proved to be a national event, with massive viewer numbers earned for Coronation Street.

Look at how lovely her skin is! Just shows you what damage 20 a day can do! Give it up Ann/Dierdre!
They married and lived with Albert Tatlock, and now they live with Blanche. Gluttons for punishment or what?
Deirdre looks so pretty!
When I first saw this picture (and a larger size too, in a Corrie book I have), I didn't even recognise her. Hard to put the two faces together. She is simply beautiful in this photo.
