There are quite a few mis-matched couples on the street. But I feel these duos would make a great team!
Gary and Daisy
I feel that Daisy would be attracted to Gary's masculine army persona, and her sarky remarks would make him laugh. But these cool, clever cats like to manipulate, control and persuade. They're edgy, moody - and dangerous. They'd be sexy and fun, but with emotions heightened, they'd each battle to be top dog. The power of balance would constantly shift and change between them, and they'd test each other to the limit! Yet despite their brittle exteriors, they are vulnerable, unpredictable and insecure. I can see this couple as partners in crime – and providing fantastic entertainment!
Daniel and Emma
Yes, Emma's loved- up with newbie Curtis and Daniel usually goes for blondes, but these two are sweet, warm- hearted, sensitive and kind. They'd be friends first - maybe Emma could babysit Bertie – then, after seeing how patient she is with his son, he'd suddenly fall for her. Emma could be attracted to his intellect and drive. She's not an intellectual like he, is but neither was Sinead, Bethany or Nicky. I think they'd make a strong couple and she'd easily slip into the step-mum role for Bertie.
Maria and Johnny
Former Connor widow Maria's almost 40 and unlucky in love, she hasn't been able to find Mr Right. She only settled for hubby Gary because there's no- one else on the scene. I feel she needs stability and security from an older man. Now he's left wife Jenny, Johnny Connor could fit that bill. Ok, they're sort of related somehow, but we shouldn't let that stand in their way! He'd be attracted to her upbeat nature (which is bound to return when she gets shot of misery guts Gary) and she'd like his calm manner and maturity. Plus, looking after Liam while Maria's at work would give Johnny something to do!
Debbie and Michael
They'd get together when Michael's drowning his sorrows. He'd be the last customer in The Bistro, propping up the bar. He needs to confide in someone, and Debbie appears – sparky, pretty and done very well for herself. He'd admire her success and she'd listen to his half- hearted attempts at breaking out of the 9- 5. She'd be impressed by his devotion to his daughter Glory. They have a one- night stand, but to their surprise, they develop feelings for each other and it morphs into something more. Debbie has a show off toy boy, and he has a wealthy cougar as a partner. It's win- win!

I would have liked Elaine and Yasmeen to have become a surprise couple - except Elaine appears to have left for good.
Daniel and Emma, I really like that idea!
I would have loved to see Mary and George together, but that looks most unlikely now. Of all the single characters, she deserves to find love most of all. I wouldn't really pair her with any other current characters.
