Conversation Street Podcast Episode #484

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 16th and the 20th August (Episodes #10404 - 10409).

After being a bit down on Corrie recently, we were pleased to see things get back in fine form this week, with a handful of great twists, some brilliant character-led scenes and a whole lot of fantastic performances from the cast. It's a case of Dobbs by name, dobs by nature for Tyrone this week, as he reveals to the police that Hope was responsible for the fire in the flat. Meanwhile, Brian and Abi collaborate on a victim impact statement in scenes that reminded us just what a fab actor Peter Gunn is, Sally's in fine form as she gets back on the campaign trail with Aggie, and there's a load of old pollocks at the Bistro.

Up next on the podcast, we head over to The Kabin for some news, where we're torn between two excellent Corrie actors on the NTA shortlist, and we check out the latest Corrie merch on the official ITV Shop.  We finish off the show with more of your feedback, including one listener's theory about what dark deeds George has got lurking in his past.

This week, it was the podcast's ninth anniversary, and to mark the occasion, our bonus episode is all about Number 9 Coronation Street. This blue and yellow stone clad pad is certainly one of the most recognisable houses on the street, and it's got a history that's just as colourful as its frontage! In this discussion, we chat about our favourite characters who've lived under its roof over the years, our most memorable scenes that have played out there, and even delve into the history of the house from before the show began.
