Life is about to get a lot more complicated for Coronation Street’s Nick Tilsley when he bumps into a face from his past.
A chance encounter at the hospital with ex girlfriend Natasha Blakeman will put extra strain on Nick and Leanne’s already fragile relationship.
Actress Rachel Leskovac returned to set this week, ten years after Natasha left a heartbroken Nick behind in Weatherfield. What does her return mean for Nick and Leanne?
The couple are struggling with Oliver’s devastating diagnosis and Nick has been finding it hard to know how to help Leanne. As Oliver’s stepdad Nick will start to feel increasingly sidelined as Leanne and Steve are forced to make difficult decisions about Oliver’s treatment.
On a visit to the hospital in the early autumn Nick is surprised to see ex Natasha, and the pair catch up on the news of the past decade, but Nick is reluctant to tell Leanne about the chance meeting.
Is Natasha’s reappearance about to create a bigger rift between Nick and Leanne?
Rachel said: “I am very excited and proud to be welcomed back to Coronation Street, especially as so many old friends are still there. It’s always great to be able to return to a character to explore a whole new path for them.”
Natasha began a relationship with Nick in 2010. He later dumped her and even when she discovered she was pregnant with his child he refused to take her back, resulting in her terminating the pregnancy. When Nick came round to the idea of fatherhood and asked her to take him back she did, but kept the news of the abortion a secret until Gail found out and told a devastated Nick who left Natasha. Broken hearted, Natasha took an overdose but was found by Nick, shortly afterwards she left Weatherfield in the back of a cab.
Rachel will be seen on screen again in September.

I'm going through a 'write your own storyline' stage which makes up for some of the drab ones at the moment. Natasha comes back to entice Nick from Leanne; Steve and Leanne bond; Tracy welcomes Rob back. I've said before I think Rob's tied up with the Scott storyline. Ex-cell mates, sharing information about Johnny and the rest of the Street. With no big disasters to film this year, Corrie needs explosions of another sort.
Humpty Dumpty, I like your way of thinking!
I would LOVE it if Rob came back to the street! What a great twist that would be. He was a great character who needs a comeback. If the writers found a way for Tracy to evade her life sentence, surely they can do the same for Rob? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.
If Scott's reveal is related to Rob in any way that would cause major problems for Peter and Carla because of all that bad blood. Tracy on the other hand will be delighted!
Natasha's coming back, eh? Don't know how to feel about this one. Seems a bit cheap and cliched if she shows up with Nick's kid just as Leanne's about to lose Oliver. From what I remember of Natasha she was a bit of a psycho, I hope she's still like that!
I love the idea of Scott being involved with Rob!
As for Natasha, please may it not be another "I didn't have an abortion after all and here's your child" scenario.
I also love the idea of Scott being involved with Rob,makes more sense than the rumored Scott is Carla's father.
As for Natasha, what is the point of bringing her back exactly?
To justify another storyline for the overused Platt family?
I hope that there isn't an affair storyline between Natasha and Nick or the above mentioned,I didn't have an abortion after all.
I don’t know what stage of covid 19 recovery Weatherfield is in, but with social distancing it seems odd to introduce Nicky the sex worker and bring back Natasha the hairdresser. But little in Corrie makes sense to me at this time.
I remember Natasha as a nut job. I know things move fast in soap land but didn't she act like she owned Nick after their first date. Stay well clear. I like Humpty's storyline too, I thought Rob and Tracy were quite a good match.
I hope she doesn't come back with Nick's child and I hope he doesn't cheat on Leanne. Leanne is going through a terrible time and Nick has been so great with her, I don't want the writers to ruin that.
He isn't Carla's father. Johnny did a DNA test and he is the father
We know that Natasha could not have had nick's baby as she faked being pregnant for several months and they did not have sex so there would be no baby.
Also, Johnny did dna and he is proven to be Carla's dad.
Keep with the program people. lol
