Coronation Street has confirmed (via STV) that Helen Flanagan, who plays Rosie Webster, is taking three months away from the soap.
The actress had asked if she could take a break from the long-running soap so that she could spend some time with her boyfriend, Swansea City striker Scott Sinclair. It is believed that Helen will take a three-month break with Scott following the end of the football season.

Ohhh yes i think i did read that somewhere. Thanks!
Isn't this really old news?
it is quite old but we've not had it on the blog before and people were asking about it in the comments to another blog post so I thought I'd blog it ;-)
Actually Craig did a post about it on Feb. 28th!
Ah! Well spotted, anonymous.
Just a thought - when actors take breaks like this, do they still get paid? Or is it unpaid leave?
I have an interest, being a Personnel Manager, because if someone at my firm asked for 3 months leave, it would certainly be unpaid.
It'll be unpaid leave. They only get paid for x number of episodes a year and only get paid when they work.
Thanks Tvor, I've often wondered.
Thanks Flaming Nora for the news about Rosie. I was one of the ones who was asking about Rosie.
