In spite of the angst, the plot holes, the petty grievances, Coronation Street still has those little scenes that make me laugh out loud and this week, especially last night, was no exception.
Cagney and Lacy (aka Claudia and Audrey) staking out Marc's house was too funny! The scene where they're discussing what men want you to do and would you do it? Claudie did it just once but Audrey thinks you should just tell them there's loads of woman that would do it for them but not her. What was it? A comb-over! *wipes monitor*
Then there was Norris hollering at the dog. What he thought that would accomplish, I don't know. But that's one huge dog! Norris was up on the step ladder looking over the wall and the dog, up on his back legs, looked him right in the face! Eek! (In case you think that dog isn't long enough, I've been on the outdoor set and seen the height of the wall, which is about 6 foot high. I'm pretty sure the dog is quite long enough to do that and see eye to eye with someone on a step ladder.)

What made me laugh was when Norris was going on about Schmichael barking through Midsomer Murders and a documentary and the fact Emily messed up her sudoku!
It ended up all 7s! Hahaha!
Totally agree here, its why I don't see Corrie as depressing, every episode has fantastic Laugh Out Loud moments, and they're usually based on very mundane things :D
Another little gem from last night was Audrey, Gail and David's joint stare and sigh of relief at the customer under the dryer.
I thought the various remarks about the dead lady in the salon were brilliant, and something only Corrie could get away with. The same is true of Tina and Grahame's bitchslapping, and Norris getting a faceful of dog. This is why I love the show.
I love the character Claudia, it was a stroke of genius bringing her in full time, Audrey needed a friend apart from Riteh and Emeleh
Oh yes abbyk that was good too! The Tina and Graeme stuff was just tedious and not funny at all for me but Norris and the dog had me in bits
i agree abbyk, that made me laugh a lot!
The comb-over thing had me laughing out very loudly for the first time in ages!
Funny stuff...Noris and the dog..Claud&Aud spying on Marc..I admit..that WAS funny.
