Conversation Street Podcast Episode #553

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 12th and the 16th December (Episodes #10819 - 10824).

We may have been pretty vocal about our dislike of the Summer storyline in recent weeks, but credit where credit's due, we actually found it to be the most exciting it's ever been this week thanks to the double whammy of Billy finding out about Summer's baby selling plans and Mike's switching from creepily obsessed to downright sinister after discovering about the miscarriage. Also strong this week were the more serious scenes given to the usually comedic Daisy - we're not predicting this will develop into another full-blown cancer story, so we were able to sit back and appreciate the cracking performances from Charlotte Jordan and Rob Mallard as Daniel realises that history may be repeating itself in the worst way possible for him... Also this week, it's curtain-up for Ken's play, secret wedding preparations for Tyrone and a new job for Simon - as viewers everywhere ask, "So what had he been doing before, again..?"

Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, where we finally get around to giving our impressions on the recently revealed Weatherfield Precinct set - and we're pretty impressed! We finish the show with more of your feedback, including one listener who thinks it would be better if Corrie did away with hard hitting, issue-led stories altogether - what do we think?
