Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 20th April
Asha's day hasn't got any better as she's still getting outraged texts from her school"friends", and Dev tells her she has to go to a litter picking day. Dev's on the warpath, realising it must be Aadi who stole a bottle of premium quality Latvian vodka from the shop. "You're developing some mouth on you," he tells his son when he lies to him. Well that's what happens when you swap heads a la Worzel Gummidge. The Alahan Juniors turn up to the community day where a teenage misogynist calls Asha a slag and Aadi attacks him. Asha then finds out the video has been uploaded to a porn site. Urgh, teenagers are rank.
Jenny is hanging around Scott (the B&B guest) like a fly 'round, um, sugar. Way to get a 3 star review, Jen! Johnny arranges for Carla and Peter to run the pub whilst he and the missus are away in France. It didn't go that well last time Peter ran the pub, did it. Anyway, Johnny and Scott finally meet and Scott greets him as an old pal. What's the story then? Did Johnny scam him in business or pleasure?
Meanwhile, Ken has evidence that there is no Stillwaters residents' bank account and all the fines and fees have been going to Charles's personal account. Nozza says move to impeach. Alright Norris Pelosi! But Ken wins the election with 66% of the vote, and then says he hasn't got time to be Chair and nominates Norris, who's going to have to be the throne, rather than the power behind it. Ken is now off to investigate the mystery of the missing peanut bowls, and also says to Claudia he wants to move back to the street.
And finally, Sally has spotted a £2K (sorry I mean, £1,999) wedding dress, which Tim says he will get for her. Hey Timothy! I hear there's a factory 'round the corner full of sewing machines and seamstresses who can copy any pattern to a high calibre! Check 'em out!

“It didn't go that well last time Peter ran the pub, did it.” I don’t really understand this? Peter ran the pub well, and didn’t fall off the wagon while he was the owner. It was Toyah lying about Susie being his child that caused him to pack up and sell out. Am I forgetting something?
Anonymous[20;15],You're right it was because of Toyah [who showed no remorse]lying about Susie to Peter and Ken as she named Aidan's daughter after his daughter Susan which led to their break up and the selling of the Rovers to Johnny who wanted to remember his son's last time in the pub.
If it wasn't for Eva's and Toyah's kidnapping of Aidan's daughter, then Peter and Toyah would still be running the pub.
Beth is still in Scotland then. How is she paying for her accommodation? and Daniel must be running up a pretty hefty bill by now.
Claudia was paying for Daniel and Bertie. But now it looks like she and Ken are splitting up.
You shouldn't have messed with the peanut bowls, Claudia!
I never thought they were that well suited. A hunky toy boy is more Claudia's style.
I don't know how Beth can afford the grief retreat. Kirk is apparently going up to join her, too.
Beth said she would find a cheap B & B because Daniel's place was much too expensive, but even so, she has been there for weeks now and must have racked up quite a bill. And is she on paid leave from Underworld?
