Conversation Street Podcast Episode 414

On the latest Conversation Street, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 13th and the 17th April (Episodes #10,048 and 10,050).

This week, the teens take centre stage as Asha's new storyline gets underway, the unfortunate twin falling victim to a sexting incident when a video of her stripping in front of her phone makes its way onto a group chat. Also this week, after a few years of, you know, being tolerable, Leanne reverts to form and enters maximum mardy mode when she discovers that Steve wasn't around whilst Oliver was having his seizure. Meanwhile, a new a guest at the Rovers B&B gets pulses racing, and there's a clash of steel at Stillwaters.

Next up in the Kabin, we discuss the series of special programmes focusing on iconic Corrie icons that are rumoured to be airing this summer, and we finish off the show with some listener feedback.

This week, Aadi became the latest in the line of Corrie characters to be recast, and our bonus content for Episode 414 is all about the show's head swaps over the years. From child actors who wanted to focus on their schooling to older cast members who weren't available or, to put it bluntly, were just not sexy enough, we look back at the changing faces of Coronation Street, discussing some of our most and least favourites, pondering who we'd be happy to see return to the show with a different actor, and looking at the young characters who've managed to avoid the head swapper's axe so far.
