It looks like this new Chinese character, Xin Chiang, is going to end up marrying Graeme Proctor in a fake wedding scam to get her a visa. There's tabloid reports today that Xin ties the knot Graeme so she can get a visa - even though he's the boyfriend of her best friend, Tina.
Xin and Graeme get married alongside tearaways David Platt and Kylie Turner in scenes airing on Coronation Street this spring.
The paparazzi picture, left, shows filming of Xin's wedding although that lovely anorak is an accessory we won't see on screen.

Wow, I can see by all the comments to this post that everyone's really excited at yet another Corrie story-line. God bless Phil Collinson!
Please don't kill it Phil!
Probably because just like many Corrie storylines these days Anonymous, they are way past ridiculous. As sham marraiges are illegal, I presume this is the way hapless Graeme gets written out, back to clink. A real shame. I hope "Xin's" acting improves for these storylines, as she was pretty wooden so far.
Not impressed with this storyline, I hope Graeme jilts Xin at the altar and Xin tries to become a permanent resident legally
Chewy - yeah, it would be ironic if the only wedding story in Corrie land that went anything like 'normal' was this one! I'm happy with Graeme jilting Xin, that's a good twist, it might redeem this rather unrealistic (or rather, more than usual unrealistic) plot line.
ohhh dear. I seem to be a right old moaning Minnie about our beloved Corrie these days. I do apologise but it's only here I can let off steam (though that's not strictly true, I am shouting a lot at 'telly certain days of 'week!). Phil, Phil, Phil love, what are you doing to our show? Funny kind of "best friend" this Xin is to Tina when we've never seen her or she's not been mentioned in all the time Tina's been on the street.... and now up she pops and in just TWO WEEKS Tina's ready to go to these lengths for her...... ohhhh, mutter, mutter, mutter
