Conversation Street Podcast Episode #532

On our latest podcast, we dissect the episodes of Corrie that were shown in the UK between the 18th and the 22nd July (Episodes #10693 - 10698).

This week was pretty rough for poor Kelly, who gets the Andy Carver treatment by being locked in a dank cellar by a narked villain. Fortunately for her, her stay at Weatherfield's least inviting AirBnB was cut short after a couple of episodes, and her rescue has led her to view Gary in quite a different light... Also this week, the local marriage guidance counsellor is coining it in after getting no less than three visits from Fiz, the salon gets a makeover and Frank finally shows his true colours when he lays into Dylan after a football injury.

In The Kabin segment of the podcast, we run down all the nominations in this year's Inside Soap Awards, and we round off the podcast with more of your lovely listener feedback, including a voicemail from Canada!

For the past two and a half years, we've been working our way through the DVD box sets of Corrie between 1960 and 2009, supplemented with a few more episodes sourced elsewhere for good measure! In this episode of the podcast, we reflect on our overall thoughts of the experience. Did our first ever viewing of some of the very early episodes live up to expectations? Who were some of our newly discovered favourite characters, and is there anyone from more recent times that we've changed our minds about after seeing them a second time round? Which episodes would we particularly recommend to someone looking to take the plunge into classic Corrie? We discuss all this and more in this week's bonus podcast!

Going back..Rita. She wasn't always the nice old lady she is now...she was a downright bit#$ at times. She led that guy on Lenny or Benny or whatever his name was. He would have been a better husband than Len.
Loved Blanche as she aged...she got a little more sour..hehe

...and finally...Gail...has stopped with that singsong voice she was using for a bit there. Her character has gone from being bubbly to being haggard...she used to be giggly Gail Potter and became Griper Gail (whatever her last name is now)
