Conversation Street Podcast Episode #531

On our latest podcast, we chat about what happened on Corrie between the 11th and the 15th July (Episodes #10687- 10692).

There's someone about Maria this week, as the crimper-cum-councillor finds she's being stalked - but who could it be? Don't worry, though - in a not at all soap phrase of doom moment, Kelly remarks that SHE has never felt safer... Meanwhile, despite openly snogging in public at the end of last week's episodes, Tyrone and Fiz decide to keep their rekindled romance a secret until she can get an annulment from Phill. Also this week, Ed's in for a shock over at Chariot Square, Tim tries to spice things up by Voggling for some 'normal' adult videos and the disharmony in the Platt household causes Stephen to return to Milan - but has he gone back for good?

Up next on the podcast, we celebrate the news of Sally Carman and Joe Duttine's recent nuptials, and we finish off the show with more of your feedback.

For this week's bonus, podcast, we take a look at a a character dating back to the very early days of the show. Corrie legend Alf Roberts was a mainstay on the cobbles for nearly forty years, earning the respect of his neighbours as a local councillor and mayor, as well as the adoration of many a Coronation Street viewer. Though nowhere near as experienced as fellow long-timer Ken Barlow when it came to women, Alf was linked with a few lovely ladies in the early days including Maggie Clegg and Renee Bradshaw, but of course it was his partnership with Audrey for which he is best known and most loved. In this character profile, we take an in-depth look at Alf's life story, including some of his most memorable scenes and episodes.
