Jack Carroll, who plays Bobby Crawford on Coronation Street, has left the show. His final scenes have been filmed.
A Corrie insider told The Mirror: "Bobby has had a dramatic couple of years on the cobbles, but the time has come to bid farewell. Actor Jack enjoyed his time on the soap, but it's time to move on. Viewers won't see the character exit the street as he's already left, with Jack filming his final scenes some time ago."

Jack Carroll started off playing himself, as did Bradley Walsh at the beginning of his stint. Maybe that's what happens when they cast comedians because the directors don't have time for character development. Bobby never quite worked for me. Perhaps he needed a 'father figure' to confide in. Dev, maybe, which would have been interesting. He won't be missed by viewers and quite likely he'll turn up again, maybe with Simon.
