Now then, thanks to Corrie fan Theo Morgan, you can listen to actor Kenneth Cope, who played Jed Stone, singing. It's a wonderful ditty and well worth a listen. It's called Hands Off Stop Mucking About, issued in 1963 and with lyrics that include "you smudge me lips and you ruin me hair, look out yer crumplin' me dress", who can resist?

Sunny Jim sing-a-long
Jed Stone was a scouse tearaway who turned up in Coronation Street after Borstal, trying to entice Dennis Tanner back into a life of crime. However, after lodging with Minnie Caldwell at No5, he softened into a lovable rogue and Sunny Jim as she called him, became the son she never had.

Just to say, I'm 99% sure this was the first single by a Corrie star (who was in it at the time). It was ahead of Chris Sandford and Jenny Moss by some months.
It's great! ;-)
This was a treat! I loved it. Thanks for this nice pick-me-up.
Glad you liked it Zartelle.
