As the Coronation Street set looks unlikely to reopen to the public, there is another way for fans to see onto the Street. Or at least, there could be, if Coronation Street followed in the steps of the other two major UK soaps and installed a webcam. How brill would that be? Eastenders has one here and Emmerdale has one too.

I think it would be a good idea but I can't see it happening, as they have just blocked off the windows to see the Street outside the Museum, so I think they might see it as something that could potentially ruin future storylines
I agree that they might not want to give away the plot, but whenever I've looked at the Emmerdale one there's never much happening anyway, just people walking past. They could point a webcam at the cobbles or part of the street that's rarely used or just have it switched on during times they're not filming anything important so no spoilers could be given away.
