Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 3rd April 8.30pm

Here is part two of Wednesday's Corrie, all wrapped up in a handy blog review.

Checking the status of Carla's arrest, Peter is on the phone to police whilst news spreads across the street. Roy shows little remorse and defends Wayne's actions.

Upon finding out about his daughter's arrest Johnny wants to visit Carla but Kate quickly shuts down that idea. 

The radio quiz between Prima Doner and Preston's Petals reaches its climax. Assisted by Brian, Gemma wins the quiz - much to Mary's annoyance. Gemma celebrates news of her £500 prize win but Chesney isn't happy that Mary has been cheated.

At the Rovers, Gemma plays darts with Paul but her brother is disheartened with his first paper round. Back at The Kabin though, Rita has got Paul a little apprentice, in the shape of Billy the vicar.

Later over a pint, Paul and Billy decide to take their relationship to the next level.

At Roy's Rolls, Carla returns from the police questioning. Confronted by Gary and Sarah, Carla reveals that Gary is in the clear yet he still needs that cash. A furious Sarah doesn't take the bribery news well.  Quizzing Wayne about Carla's release, the health and safety inspector is collared by both Mary and an angry Imran. The grieving brother promises that he won't give up on getting Carla jailed. Good job he's a solicitor then!.

Geoff's broad beans have failed, so he replaces them with shop-bought instead. Bumping into Brian and Cathy, Geoff is quick to show off his crop. Heading to the pub, Gemma feels remorse at her cheating the quiz and admits her guilt to Mary and Brian. The threesome decides to split the winnings between them. Admitting her confession to Chesney, he still takes the moral high ground against Gemma and remains angry.

Realising that Peter knew she was about to get arrested, Carla is full of remorse and anger as she realises just how far he has gone to cover for her. As Roy and Peter confront some home truths, Carla is duly kicked out of the cafe flat. Peter decides to move her straight into No.1 Coronation Street, and much to Kate's disgust.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 25th of April 2018 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of tonight's two episode reviews!.

Beginning at number 8, David's dramatic demise continues. Following his afternoon dalliance with ditzy trainee Emma, he decides to ask her to move in!. Much to Gail's dismay, David relishes in the drama, recognising his own blatantly unpredictable behaviour. It isn't long before Shona hears the news, and fails to mask her devastation.

Recovering from his recent stint in Christian rehab, a rejuvenated Billy looks forward to his new life with Summer. Seeking extra cash for unpaid rent owed to Tracy, Billy tries to see if any shifts are going at Roy's Rolls, even begging Adam for any unpaid wages of Todd's, but to no avail. Just as it seems salvation is on Billy's side with part-time chip shop shifts, Tracy finds out about his 'heroin holiday' and decides to evict them instead!!.

Narrowly avoiding eviction from 'Speed Daal', Zeedan is saved by Rana as Imran decides to invest in the Pakistani street food restaurant.

Over lunch with the Connors, Rana is accepted swiftly into the family which does little to allay her own feelings about the Habeeb clan. Kate also appears to be jealous about Imran's investment.

In other news, Aidan has discovered Summers secret crush on him, Mike asks Liz  on another date, and Angie decides to 'grow the figures' with a book-keeping gig at the florists!.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 18th of April 2018 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of tonights two episode reviews.

Distraught at being caught in her recent tryst with Ali, Carla is frantically trying to contact Michelle.
Concerned with Michelle's sudden bruising (caused by Roberts steroid addiction), will Carla 'park' her relationship with Ali to seek her former best friends forgiveness?.

It's another quasi-incestuous 'family affair' no doubt, and we've quite a few of those on the street recently!

The Nazir/Habeeb/ Connor 'Ménage à trois' ( that's Moira's French influence), continues to cause more drama. 

With Rana and Kate looking to embark on a fresh start, can the return of Rana's mother and a sudden serious family illness, cause the star-crossed lovers further heartache?. Saira certainly causes Rana to ask fast and before you can say 'speed daal' a plane ticket to Pakistan is booked...

On the other side of Coronation Street, Eileen remains wallowing in self-pity, until Nicola pays her a visit. Trusting in Eileen's innocence, Nicola promises to keep a frail Eileen close to Phelan's grandchild's life. But as budding journo Daniel Osbournes case against Phelan builds, will it do more harm than good?.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 11th of April 2018 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of Coronation Street Blog's review of tonight's episodes.

Post-match analysis from the charity boxing match concludes that there's only one no real winner. Safely out of the 24 hr life/death danger zone, Gary quickly recovers and unleashes a soliloquy to Sarah, and questions Davids real reason for the furious assault. Released on bail, David plans a 'not guilty' plea. Witnessed by a huge crowd of Weatherfield residents though, can the hairdresser really escape another crime?

Over at Underworld, the factory knicker stitchers are quickly reassembled and Aidan relishes his new role at the helm.

With the unsuspecting father-to-be quickly winning new business, Eva attends an ante-natal class with Toyah. Filled with guilt and emotion, its evident that Eva still loves Aidan.

Meanwhile, looking fit and fully recovered following his successful boxing bout and cancer recovery, Robert is approached by a scout asking to him to pose for a calendar.

Before you can say' meat and two veg' Robert is half-naked in the bistro's kitchen. Will he be happy featuring in a cancer charity calendar as 'Mr August'?

Finding used steroid needles at the boxing venue, Zeedan consults Dr Ali in The Rovers, who concludes Davids' blind fury must have been caused by the class b drugs. Even though he denies all knowledge, has Ali given David the mitigating circumstances he so desperately needs before his court appearance?. Or did someone else use the drugs to convincingly win a different fight?

In the pub backroom, Eva's emotions are running high as she returns from the baby class. Overcome with guilt, Toyah calls off the baby deal. Will Eva now confess all to Aidan?

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 4th of April 2018 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of tonights two episodes.

Clueless about Phelan's messiah-like recovery, an unsuspecting Eileen is still incarcerated in Weatherfield cop shop and facing further questioning.
Upon confirmation of Andy's dead body at the mill, Eileen realises that Andy was last seen alive on the day of her wedding.

The police now need to search Andys old flat, but with Craig facing self-imprisonment due to his burgeoning OCD, will this stop the police from entering?

Also facing a self-enforced prison (albeit metaphorical) is David Platt. His anguish following the sexual assault is now becoming hard to contain. Waking on the sofa, he continues to blow hot and cold with Shona, yet also subtly confides in Maria about a possible HIV test. Masquerading as Gary Windass, David visits the sexual health clinic but as he almost wittingly confesses the 'unprotected sex' to the nurse, he panics and flees.

Returning home, he finds Shona packing her bags. David again ferociously embraces her, before discarding her post-coital. He unconvincingly declares that he doesn't love her anymore and that they are through.

In the juxtaposition of Corrie's usual tradition, the more serious of tonights drama (Murder, OCD, SEX) sat nicely alongside Dev's new chip shop adventures, Rosie and Sophie's 'selfie gate',  plus Chezney dressed as a haddock (he's always been a wet fish - just ask Sinead). And over at the Rovers, Angie relishes her new accountancy role but Jude seems a bit fishy in his new marine biologist job?.As always, Mary's wonderful enthusiasm keeps this story ticking along nicely. But, Just WHATT is Jude thinking not letting Mary meet his new employers?.
