The Conversation Street Awards 2020 - The Results!



Every year since 2012, Corrie fans have had the chance to vote for their favourite stories, scenes and characters in the Conversation Street Awards, and on this weekend's podcast, the results of the 2020 vote have been revealed! The 'Ello Luv!' Award for Best New Couple 

The 'Flamin' Nora!' Award for Best Redhead 

The 'Wrong 'Un' Award for Best Villain 

The 'Right Laff!' Award for Funnies Character 

 The 'Our Kid' Award for Best Young Character

The 'By 'Eck!' Award for Best Surprise Twist 

The 'Ecky Thump!' Award for Best Fight 

The 'Top Lad' Award for Best Male Character 

The 'Top Lass' Award for Best Female Character 

The 'That's Champion!' Award for Best Storyline 


For the past three years, we've also had the 'Mad Fer It!' Award for listener of the year, dedicated to the memory of Diane Williams, who many of you will remember as huge Corrie fan, dedicated listener of the podcast and frequent contributor to the Coronation Street Blog. This year, we chose to give the award to listener Jon Dew.


This year for the first time, we were also thrilled to receive some acceptance videos from some of our winners! You can view them in the embedded tweets below.
