Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 30th Jan 8.30pm

As promised, here is part two of this Wednesday's Corrie, all wrapped up in a handy blog review.
Seb reconciles with Sarah, as his mission to adopt the twins heads into court. Without adult representation, will the lad succeed in winning back the twins?.

Over on the street, Tracy informs Tyler's Mum that Amy has already had an abortion, that didn't put her off slurping her tea though. Tracy decides it might be best to move the family down south, in hope of avoiding all the conflict. In the context of the serial drama, I doubt that will happen. The parent's self-realisation of their messy re-marriage, looks to have more repercussions, than wedding fights and farcical honeymoons. As for the abortion lie, well, it's not long before Amy bumps into Tyler's Mum on the street, and the truth is revealed.

Roy continues to try reconciling Evelyn and Tyrone ahead of her holiday. A certain kinship seems to have formed between those two, I hope that's just the beginning of this friendship.

On the street, Paul riles his sister, Gemma, as her brothers Coronation Street charm fest continues. Lively ideas of a northern e-commerce website cause hilarity amongst Rita, Brian, and Cathy. Gemma's comrades seem far more interested in her brother, and it looks like this sibling rivalry is just getting started.

In court, Seb lies about his employment and paints a pretty picture of homely harmony, whilst Abi and Adam look less than convinced. Taking the stand, Abi, although heartfelt, can't help but admit that the kids are better off in foster care and admits the truth about the reality of the her son's   work/life imbalance.

Back on the street, Seb's angry storm continues, and Abi seeks solace on the good ship 'Lost Buoy'. Before you can say 'nautical euphemism' Abi makes sure the boat door is locked before Peter drops anchor! (sorry). Will this new romance, cause ripples or waves, for other residents of the street?.

Anyway, that's all for this Wednesday, I shall be back same time, next week.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 23rd Jan 8.30 pm

At the clinic and realising that Amy is ten weeks pregnant, Tracy demands to know who the father is. As Amy has passed the six week threshold, the only option to terminate the baby is surgical.

Feigning niceness to his daughter, Steve admits to Tracy that he thinks Simon is the father. Off for a walk with the dog, Amy is collared by Faye and Craig who offer advice about underage pregnancies and dramatic births.

Tracy is unconvinced by Steve's wild accusations of Simon's incestuous shenanigans, that is until she reads a text from the youngster, on his cousin Amy's phone. Tracy is enraged and heads out on the warpath.

At the job interview, Abi admits to the truth of why she has a gap in her CV and is unsuccessful at the interview for the call centre job. Can Sally persuade Kevin to give Abi her job back at the garage?.

Evelyn fails to go to bingo and fails to collect Ruby from school. Seeking explanations, Tyrone struggles to extract the truth from his unusually coy Grandma. Is Evelyn losing her memory? Tyrone touchingly tries to push the issue with his gran but as caustic as ever, Evelyn appears absolutely fine. Is she telling the truth?

Roy finds out that Sylvia has had a heart attack and he leaves the street to be with her. Carla continues to look after her best friend.

Sarah and Gary argue at the factory. Admitting the job has fallen through, the builder vows to fix their money problems and immediately puts Seb onto a zero-hour contract!. Sarah meanwhile, chastises her Gran for not giving Gary the dry rot job at Grasmere drive. With no other options, will Gary go back to security work?

Over at number one, Tracy confronts Simon as Peter protects his son. Realising the ridiculousness of their accusations, Peter throws Tracy and Steve out of the house.

Back at the flat, Amy informs her parents that she's keeping the baby. It's obviously not Simon's, so who is the father?.

That's all for this Wednesday, I shall be back same time, next week.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 23rd Jan 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog, and the first of tonight's two episodes, reviewed in a handy blog post.

Early morning around at the McDonald' flat, Steve and Tracy are discussing the repercussions of Amy's shock pregnancy. Keeping calm, against Steve's storm, Tracy promises to find out answers.
Amy is unforgiving of Steve's outburst and drip-feeds details of the Christmas conception, to her mum.

Still reeling from the discovery, Amy is adamant that she wants an abortion and asks Tracy to accompany her to the clinic.

Confiding in Kev, Steve tries in vain to calm down but still wants to know who the father is. However, when spying Amy hugging "cousin" Simon, has Steve made an unsettling discovery?

Laid on the living room floor, Gary and Sarah struggle to sleep on the lilos and David the dog decides to eat Sarah's bra. Luckily, she works in an underwear factory, but rather than stealing a sample, Sarah fails to get a pay rise from Carla and her brother.

Gary meanwhile, receives bad news about his quote for Audrey's dry rot from Nick. The couple's money worries look set tto continue, and Gary still seems preoccupied with Nicola and baby Zach.

Also at Roy's Rolls, Tyrone's titbit of musical knowledge (random) impresses Sally, but his titbits of chips to Cerebus fail to impress Evelyn.  With bingo on her mind, Evelyn promises to collect Ruby from school after a session at the community centre.

With Abi getting ready for her job interview, Sally's snotty nosed social-climbing personality has quickly recovered from prison, as she offers her new BFF some interview tips.  In the interview, Abi lies to cover up her prison sentence. Will it work?

Over lunch, Roy and Carla reminisce over Hayley, on the anniversary of her death. Roy's thankful for his life with Hayley, but then receives sudden news about his mum's Sylvia's heart attack.

At the clinic, Amy and Tracy head to the appointment to discuss the termination. Amy must have a scan to figure out her exact due date. It's not a Christmas conception, after all, she's 10 weeks due. Is Simon the father?

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 16th of Jan, 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's review of Coronation Street .

Conniving Nick's con continues on the cobbles this evening, but can he deceive his equally evil brother? At the salon, Audrey reveals that Grasmere Drive has a leak, and Nick takes a call from a mystery contact, little realising that David is in the back room. Letting down Leanne, Nick suddenly has other plans, and it doesn't take long before David spots his brother with a mystery brunette. Unfortunately for Nick, Leanne arrives at exactly the wrong time. Leanne, however, is easily fooled as Nick convinces her that the mystery brunette is his solicitor. Is Leanne convinced?.

Over a meal at Speed Daal, it's revealed that the girl is, in fact, Natalie, Nick's former waitress from the Nottingham restaurant. She soon has Nick squirming with threats of blackmail. Is this the girl seen on CCTV emptying Audrey's account?. Later, David spies his brother out on the street. With David already having doubts about Nick, has he worked out that his brother robbed their gran? Shona dismisses Leanne's doubts and decides a girls night out is in order.

With news of Sally's innocence reaching the street, Tim, Sophie, Imran and Paula leap into action, in hope of releasing Sally as soon as possible. Gina fails to hide her delight in bringing down Duncan but Sean quickly dampens her enthusiasm at the thought of returning to the bosom of the family.
At the prison, Sally is still worried about Marcia and her imminent release from segregation. Will Sally be able to reach the prison gates in time?

Ken pays his new grandson a visit at the hospital. Breaking down, Daniel reveals to his father that he is still struggling to deal with the weight of all the recent turmoil. Finally reuniting them, it seems the fractious relationship is now repaired. It isn't long however before Daniel is faced with more tragedy, is the baby ill also?

On the other side of the Barlow family, Tracy's conscience is finally(!) starting to form. Seemingly steering Steve towards the idea of a baby, to cool his ravenous libido, Mary tries to convince Tracy that this actually might not be a good plan. Over a drink at The Rovers, it seems her words of wisdom may be having the desired effect.

Also at The Rovers, Rana reveals that her divorce has been finalised, and Kate is quick to set the wedding plans in motion.

Meanwhile, as Leanne and Shona head out for drinks, David makes a call to the police and asks to see the CCTV images of the girl seen stealing Audrey's money.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 9th Jan 8.30pm

As promised, here is the 2nd part of Wednesday's Coronation Street.

Lewis's female harem are in awe at the funeral, as Audrey and Claudia air their grievances, in public. No dignity nor decorum as far as Audrey and Claud are concerned.

And as far Lewis?. Well, as my Nan used to say (she reminds me of Evelyn actually) 'there's no rest for the wicked', which is apt as his coffin goes back and forth as Claudia and Audrey halt and start his journey to the fire.

Back on the street, Liz has failed to show for the mitigating meeting with the Connors. As the Connors head back to the pub, Liz suitably arrives with the police in tow, just in time for Johnny and Jenny to be arrested!

Has Claudia avoided the same fate? She professes innocence as it becomes apparent that Lewis' ladies have paid for the service. Audrey, still smarting, delivers Lewis' old clothes to Claudia, around to Number 1. Will Ken heed the warning from the warring hairdresser?

Sally's suffering also continues as the brutal results of her beating are seen on screen. Meanwhile, bullying Marcia has been put into segregation. Talking to Tim on the phone, Sally breaks down. Here's hoping some more evidence comes to light.

Back at the Rovers, Sean revels in the news of his bosses' arrests to Nick, Gail, and Audrey.

Billy also arrives for his second 'date' but Paul already has company. A 'bit of trade' it may be, but Billy isn't in the mood for games and pushes Paul away.

The police pay another visit to the street (good job the cop shop is only around the corner) as Tim is given bad news about the alleged new evidence against Duncan. Even Interpol are involved! (Muse, The National, and other alt-indie bands were unavailable... sorry).

Under interrogation, Jenny gives the police 'no comment' which can only be the beginning of another police investigation. With the crimes on the street lately, I reckon they should set up an incident room in Roy's Rolls.

Meeting Rita in The Rovers, Cathy decides to pimp out Brian as the newsagent's new assistant. I'm sure that the wage decrease (as an ex-teacher) in an unpredictable economy, won't be a problem (!).

As the Platts head back over to the pub, (all of the gang together) a tipsy Gail does little to convince David that she works for MI5, whilst Audrey calls the police on Claudia. Nick heads home and takes his little gym bag with him. It seems Nick has a different kind of laundry (or money laundering), all together.

So is Claud completely innocent after all?. Tonight's revelation poses so many questions!. Keep your eyes peeled on the Coronation Street Blog, for more fan views, news, and opinion pieces.

And that's me done for another week.

What did you think about this Wednesdays episodes?. Go on, give us your opinion!.
