Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 6th February

GUNMAN - DAMON - NICK - LEANNE - SAM - CORONATION STREET - ITV

Little Sam has gone all Martin Lewis and is recommending turning off the pan when the water has boiled and your breakfast egg will cook by itself. But if what if we can't afford the egg, Sam? What if we can't afford an egg??

Anyway, Nick has other things on his mind, namely a) Leanne being mad at hm (Jane Danson is so good at being angry) and b) the Bistro being turned into Pablo Escobar's drugs den. He wants Damon to remove them but before he can, masked men burst into the Bistro and demand that Ryan HAND OVER THE DRUGS. Ryan, bless his little heart, stays calm and denies there are any illegal substances on site. Nick and Leanne arrive and instead of giving over the drugs like any sane person hide under the table with Same It's only Ryan who deals with the panicked customers who are not going to give the Bistro a five star review on Tripadvisor, not unless they get a free desert anyway. Give Ryan a Pride of Weatherfield award. Damon rugby tackles the rival Gunchester gangstas and the po-po arrive, fortunately not with Tinker of the yard. Damon has somehow managed to spirt the drugs away and now wants Nick to hide them in Victoria Court. It's no wonder Leanne is so furious, to become an accidental drug dealer for the Gaskell family once is unfortunate, to do it twice looks careless.

EILEEN - TODD - CORONATION STREET - ITV

In less dramatic news, Todd is onto Laurence once more as he interrupts Mary's communal buffet/vibes chez Grimshaw with pastries and then is spotted by Todd's taxi driver who warns Todd to "watch his back". I think Todd'd like to be watching Laurence's back, non? D.I. Eileen finds a photo online of Laurence, the taxi driver and Mrs Laurence. Throuple vibes.

BERNIE - CHESNEY - KIDS - CORONATION STREET - ITV

Over at no. 5, Bernie, who puts her prowess with the golf club down to her getting all the balls in the clowns' mouth during trips to Llandudno, wants a rematch with Dev, which she promptly wins. GG from the golf club has agreed to waive the green fees as she wants our Bern on the ladies team. Dev pretends to be happy but back at no. 7 he smashes his clubs around, whinging to Aadi (who I have to say is looking mighty fine at that moment. Heartbreak obviously suits him) that golf is "his thing". Why not take up bar billiards instead?

As an aside, poor old Joseph sitting on the sofa with his beans on toast whilst the quads get to eat at the table made me feel all kindsa sad. His misery memoir (due 2032) is going to be a best-seller..

NINA - BERNIE - ROY - CORONATION STEET - ITV

Nina seems to have gone blonde by stealth. Also by stealth, Roy is becoming addicted to his smartphone. At last, something we ordinary viewers can relate to. I wasn't quite sure if Evelyn was trying to flirt with Roy or just boast of her charity shopping prowess in acquiring a £49.99 scarf for £2.50. Anyway, she's breaking it in.

I loved Sean's line to Mary: 'A fruit salad? You chopped up a banana and bobbed it in a bowl.' Great!
I, too felt sorry for Joseph, stuck on the sofa with his cheap beans meal.
It was nice of Chesney to remind the viewing audience of the quad's names.
There's a few lads on the street who have sort of been forgotten about - Jake, Liam, Joseph, Jack.
Yet we see plenty of Sean's son, Dylan.
You'd think they'd all team up as friends.
It was good to see a rare glimpse of Sarah's Harry, though!

Sharon,I also felt sorry for Joseph and if Gemma and Chesney are not careful,he could run away again.
I would like to add that we see too much of Sam too to the point that one would think he's the only boy on the Street!

Cheap beans meal? I eat beans on toast, not because of the cost, but because I like it. I think maybe Dylan is a bit too old to hang out with Jake and Joseph

I eat baked beans too! I stand corrected, as they aren't so cheap these days... yep, I guess there is a gap in-between the boy's ages. I forget how old they all are.
I thought they were all around 11 - 14 mark?
Yes, we do see a lot of Sam and Hope (Maybe they're classed as the star child actors?) but it would be good to see Jake with a storyline or Maria's Liam instead.
The 2 boys are supposed to live in the same rose gold flat although now Izzy's been re- introduced, I'm not sure!
Where does Simon live now?
If he lives with Leanne, Nick, Toyah and Sam, we don't see him there much.
