Corrie's fab photo Friday - September 11, 2009
I love a good Corrie disaster, so I do. Today's fab photo comes from the 1965 collapse of No.7 Coronation Street.

What caused the collapse and was anyone hurt?
The front of the house collapsed due to a faulty beam over the bay window. The landlord decided to demolish the house because he considered it too costly to repair.
The house was the old home of the Hewitt family until they moved to Ireland in 1964, but it had been vacant since then so no one was in the house at the time.
In the real world, the house was written out because the casting budget wouldn't stretch to introducing a new family!
I love the real reason, David! Thx.
