The actor who plays Gail's dad, Ted Paige, on Coronation Street has a familiar face. And after extensive research (*) I now know where I've seen him before. The actor is Michael Byrne and he's been in film and TV since 1962. He's one of those faces you see all the time. And what's the character's name? The credits give it as Ted Page but previous references to him have it as Paige. A minor quibble maybe but annoying for an anorak like me.
Sunny Jim, you're spot on. All the ITV press info had him listed as Ted Paige (with an "I") but the ITV credits have him as Ted Page. Mind you, it's not the first time the ITV credits have got characters' names wrong.
he played a villain as a Nazi colonel in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. thats probably where u kno him from.
He really is a wonderful actor so I'm not surprised he's in the Indiana Jones movie too.
