Good evening. In a rather complicated setup Cassie ends up womanning the StreetCars switch as Steve slips out for supplies and Tim goes out on a job. In a further unbelievable coincidence Alina Pop decides that the only taxi company she knows in the whole of Manchester is StreetCars and she summons a cab from Cassie who has not met Alina but knows the story. Having consulted Dee Dee Tyrone knows that if the baby was born in the UK he has a chance to exercise parental rights and a DNA sample will be needed. Cassie takes a set of cab keys and abandons the switch to collect Alina from outside the Capstone Hotel. So Chariot Square is NOT the only hotel in Weatherfield!
Cassie ignores the destination given and Alina spots she has been sold a pup as the car weaves its way to a stop outside Websters Autos. Left to themselves Tyrone has it confirmed that Dorin is indeed his son and that Alina has not been living Romania but instead in deepest, darkest Sussex, by the sea at Hastings - a mere 300 miles away where Dorin was born. However she will be returning to Romania as her enemies have all been locked up. However she ordered the taxi to the airport BUT changes her mind and tells Ty that she is going to Hastings for two weeks as she has to come back for the court again and will only fly to Romania forever once that is done. Continuity is adrift somewhere and Ty makes out that it was Alina's decision - she will be staying at the Chariot Square and the Dobbs are paying and Fiz reluctantly accepts it all. Debbie is only going to charge £50 a night. Fiz and Ty tell Hope and Ruby - and instantly Hope is upset. Evelyn hands down a warning that Ty might gain a son and lose a family.
Max visits Lauren in the hospital and invites her to lunch at the Bistro where in one of those co-incidences which just has to happen Joel and Dee Dee are also dining. Max asks if the father knows about the baby but Lauren sticks to the one night stand "randomer" taking a sideways look at Joel. Later Joel turns up at the hospital wanting to know what she said to Max - but the story remains intact. Dee Dee did notice Joel's strange distance during the meal (when do this pair ever do any work?). Lauren sends Joel a shopping list and he has little choice but to comply.
Steve seems to have commenced communicating with Demi again but the banter also continues with Cassie. In connection with Cassie admitting use of the car he gives her some advice "The trick is not to make bonkers a habit"! Cassie responds consider me "de-bonked" and all laugh given the potential alternative meaning. Cassie asks Steve if she can join him for the trip to Wethy County as Tim is not available this evening. Turns out it was a dire match to watch.
Amy had a great time at the AltoValent Institute retreat as she reports her enthusiasm to Leanne in the Bistro at the start of her shift. However Rowan has another news for Leanne - Willow wants Leanne to run it and he wants her to convince a potential investor, Grant, who is coming in later. Rowan leaves Leanne to pitch for the investment but the investor wants additional "benefits" for his investment and having given it about 2 seconds of thought Leanne decides that is not part of her new reality and tells him where he can stuff his investment and other assets as she tells Rowan on his return. Rowan has thoughts on a new investor - he primes Leanne to talk to Amy and Deirdre's money. Despite her reservations Leanne talks to Amy about investing and putting absolute trust in someone. Leanne reports that she and Amy will meet a financial advisor tomorrow.
Equally puzzling is why Alina phoned StreetCars - whilst she still has Tyrone in her contacts we can see that StreetCars are not in the stored list!

Sean sees Mason at work in Speed Dahl and wants him dismissed. Stu defends Mason but Sean remains very angry. Dylan eventually gets him to desist. Yasmeen appears very uncomfortable. Later she asks Stu and the latter is sure that Mason is not a lost cause and can become a useful human being. She says she will trust Stu's instincts.

A tidy episode - nothing outstanding but stories all rolling along. Not sure how Cassie became a Wethy County fan being so far away - but we will let that pass perhaps. And I wonder if Rowan knew Grant's intentions? He must have done and hopefully Leanne will work that out before Amy presses a bundle of fivers into her mitts. Can anyone tell me how a "resource centre" has any income to provide a healthy return for investors anyway? What are they "selling"? I will be here next week.

I suspect that the resource centre will sell therapy style courses to people and charge them for it. I'll be glad when this story come to an end. All it seems to involve is Lee-anne and Rowan having discussions in The bistro. In reality, Rowan wouldn't have that much spare time. He'd be under pressure from his superior to keep the income rolling in, which would mean active recruitment in cities and towns.
