Tyrone advises David not to waste his money on the car but David refuses and Nick clocks their exchange. Meanwhile, a deeply concerned Gail collects Max from school after receiving a call that he has wet himself. This is the last straw for Gail and, furious, she confronts David, imploring him; he needs to pull himself together and focus on his kids. David confides in Nick that without Kylie, he feels a failure as a parent.

Michelle begs Steve to get himself tested but Steve remains unconvinced. In the cab office, Steve confides in Tim that he might have MD. Elsewhere, Leanne will stop at nothing to get the results she needs from Steve. Determined, she comes up with a new plan to get what she wants.

In the garage, Kevin lays the law down to Sophie telling her there's no way he can spare her for 3 months. How will Sophie take her dad's rules?

Simon is excited when Peter calls and confirms he'll be there to watch him pick up his Player of the Year Award. Pointing out she's short staffed at the shop, Tracy enlists the help of a reluctant Ken. But when Ken takes an unsettling call, he's shocked at Tracy's reaction. Meanwhile, Seb arrives for dinner with Faye and her family and proves an instant hit with Anna and Tim. But when he presents Faye with an expensive gift, she realises that all may not be what it seems with Seb.

David tells Gail he's going to take the kids for a spin. After David leaves, Gail opens her son's laptop and finds his farewell video. Her blood runs cold as she watches it in horror. After quizzing Tyrone, Gail is chilled by his words and, with the help of Nick and Sarah, David's revenge plot dawns on them... but is it too late?

Steve returns home and tells Michelle that he's going to have the test - will he stick to his word?

Sophie attempts to reassure Kevin she just wants to spend some time with her sister. Kevin relents.

Over dinner, Anna's pleased to see Seb getting on with the family so well. When Faye sees Seb onto his bus, she tentatively asks about her expensive gift but will she get the answer she wants? Simon returns to No.1 clutching his trophy, upset that Peter failed to turn up. Ken confides in Simon how he always wanted to do the Grand Tour of Europe's cultural gems but when Tracy announces she needs him to cover in the shop again, Ken is torn between his dream and his demanding family.

Preview of tonight's Coronation Street - Weds 12 Oct

Gail's suspicions are piqued but when she asks David where he keeps disappearing off to, David covers. Confident he's got his mum off his back, he borrows Nick's car and drives to the court-house where he fine tunes his plans for Clayton's demise. Later, David calls at the garage and, laser-focused on revenge, makes Tyrone, Luke and Freddie an offer they can't refuse.

Steve tells Michelle that he's not going to have the genetic test as he'd rather not know. When Nick and Leanne quiz Rana about MD, she's taken aback to realise they know about Steve and Michelle's situation but Leanne covers. After, Leanne corners Michelle and piles on the pressure to get Steve tested.

When Sarah is cold towards Gary, Izzy wonders what's going on. Gary explains how he was trying to help but now Sarah won't give him the time of day. Later, Izzy corners Sarah and makes her see that Gary only wanted the best for Bethany - can Izzy's words make Sarah give Gary a second chance?

Kevin admonishes Anna for her harsh approach to Faye. Meanwhile, Sophie is thrilled when she receives confirmation that she's nailed the Bradshaw contract for the garage and Kevin is proud of her. But Kevin's mood turns sour when Sophie gets a call from Rosie inviting her to Miami. After berating Anna's parenting, how will he react to Sophie's news?

Preview of tonight's double Coronation Street - Mon 10 Oct

Michelle and Steve attend their first scan however it's obvious that something is playing on Steve's mind. Clearly distraught, he breaks the news to Michelle that he had a call from Jim to tell him he's got Myotonic Dystrophy - it's genetic and both he and their baby are at risk. The news is a blow to Michelle and the couple quiz Rana about how MD could affect their baby. But Michelle isn't the only woman pregnant with Steve's child...

Noticing a spring in her Mum's step, Bethany wonders if she's got a new boyfriend. Her suspicions prove to be correct when Sarah admits there is someone and when Bethany lets slip her mum's words to Gary, he's secretly thrilled. However, Sarah's earlier chirpy mood darkens when a shocking discovery leaves her seeing red.

Worried about David's state of mind, Gail insists he should return to work for a bit of normality. Still consumed with revenge, David heads out of the hair salon, leaving a client mid-appointment. Audrey is furious - but little does she know the true extent of what David's got up his sleeve.

Desperate to get Eileen off his back, Phelan suggests she should return to her job at Street Cars. Eileen agrees but when she calls the cab office, she's left reeling when Tim insists on a formal interview. Meanwhile, at Faye's suggestion, Anna invites Izzy for tea. Izzy is delighted when Faye offers to babysit for Jake at Izzy's flat - does Faye have an ulterior motive?

Leanne does her best to hide her inner turmoil as an oblivious Michelle reveals there's a 50% chance that Steve may have MD. Elsewhere, Steve breaks the news to Liz who is gobsmacked. Close to tears, Leanne tells Nick about Jim's genetic condition and how their baby could be affected. Nick calls Steve to the flat where an apologetic but determined Nick and Leanne put pressure on Steve to find out his results as soon as possible. Losing his temper, will Steve comply with the pair's requests?

Bethany breaks down, coming clean to Sarah about how, in desperation, she started taking diet pills even though Gary had warned her not to. Sarah is horrified to realise Gary knew what was going on - will this throw their blossoming romance into dangerous territory?

David heads out of the court building. He watches as a prison van pulls up, a plan forming in his mind. But later, Gail is bemused to find a clearly upbeat David making the tea and playing word games with Max and Lily - has he got cold feet at the last minute?

Eileen attends a farcical interview with Tim, has she done enough to win her job back? Meanwhile, checking that Jake is asleep, Faye surreptitiously lets Seb, her boyfriend, into Izzy's flat. Later, Anna and Kevin let themselves into Izzy's flat - what will they find?

Leanne’s pleased when Simon appears to be enjoying himself but doesn’t notice when Simon steals a bottle of vodka from behind the bar.

As he and his friends become increasingly drunk, Leanne is horrified to discover the empty bottle under the table.

Sneak preview of tonight's double Corrie, Friday 21 September

Coronation Street, Friday 21st September 2012 at 7.30pm


LLOYD UNCOVERS A LIFE ALTERING SECRET. Lloyd's had a sleepless night after his encounters with Mandy and Jenna. He's growing increasingly convinced that regardless of Mandy's denials, the girl is his daughter. Eileen tells him he needs to stop this train of thought, forget he met Mandy again and move on. But he can't. He goes back to Mandy's and, discovering Jenna is alone, asks if he can wait for her mother. Jenna agrees and is soon being charmed when Mandy finally arrives. She orders Lloyd out but he insists he needs answers. Mandy goes outside with Lloyd who tells her he knows Jenna's his. They're unaware, however, that Jenna has followed them.

TINA GARY AND IZZY VISIT THE FERTILITY CLINIC. It's a busy day for Tina with her first trip to the clinic and moving into Owen's flat. During her one to one interview, Tess, the counsellor, lays down the bare facts of what Tina's about to embark on. Izzy and Gary are clearly concerned about Tina having second thoughts but she assures them that Tess told her nothing she hadn't already thought about herself. She's concerned that she won't see any cash until the process has started and this is still weeks away and turns to Owen, once again, for help.

GLORIA'S POWER TRIP THREATENS THE ROVERS. Stella arrives home and is stunned to discover that Gloria has turned the Rovers into a B&B. Her mother is in deeper hot water when the full picture of the chaos she's created emerges, including barring Norris during comments "card-gate".

Word of Beth and Kirk's budding romance gets round. The only person who doesn't seem to know anything about it, however, is Kirk.

THE TRUTH BLOWS LLOYD'S WORLD APART. Lloyd and Jenna try to take Mandy's revelation in as she tries to find excuses for decades' worth of deceit. After Jenna leaves in disgust, Mandy rails at Lloyd for blowing her family apart. Lloyd leaves feeling guilty, not sure he can ever fix the situation he's stirred up. Later, when Eileen and Paul have taken Lloyd for a drink, his hopes are buoyed when Jenna appears. He suggests they go somewhere to talk in private but Jenna refuses. What she has to say she'd like everyone to hear.

OWEN HAS A CHANGE OF HEART. Tina opens up to Owen about how much his kindness means to her and Tommy. She lays this on thickly as she's preparing to ask him for money again. She doesn't need to, however, as later, Izzy tells him how much Tina means to her and Gary. She'd hate it if anything went wrong. Owen realises it might if Tina doesn't get an advance so he turns up to the flat and presents Tommy and Tina with £5k. Tina can't wait to see Kirsty's face as they pay Tyrone off in one fell swoop but Tommy insists that Tina gives £2k to the pizza parlour to pay off the debt he owes them.

GLORIA TAKES CONTROL. Still going on about the Pub of the Year competition, Gloria installs a comment box in the Rovers. She mithers the punters to place their complimentary comments in the comment box in order to win the competition. Stella gets increasingly annoyed by Gloria pestering her customers and in despair she warns Gloria to stop harassing the customers.

It might be love, as Kirk and Beth get closer.

LLOYD MAKES A MOMENTOUS DISCOVERY. Lloyd's restless thinking about Mandy and eventually decides he won't take no for an answer. He wants her in his life somehow. He returns to her home and is surprised when a young woman named Jenna opens the door and claims that Mandy is her mum. Lloyd leaves, hurt that Mandy told him she didn't have any kids. Later he explains to Eileen that he'd always been keen on Mandy but his best mate Johnny got in first and married her. Johnny wasn't the best of husbands and for a while Mandy turned to him for comfort. They had an affair. As he's working out how old Jenna is and when she must have been born, Mandy storms into the cab office. She rails at Lloyd for coming back to the house. What'll she say when Lloyd asks her outright if Jenna is actually his daughter?

TINA PUTS PRESSURE ON OWEN FOR MONEY. Though glad to be back with Tina, Tommy's still awkward about the surrogacy. Times continue to be tough for the couple. Kirsty flips when Tina pays the week's money minus twenty quid. Tommy reveals the pizza parlour have decided to settle out of court but he still owes them two grand and has to start paying immediately. Tina decides she has no other option. She has to ask Owen for an advance on her surrogacy fee. When he says he can't help, there is some hope as he offers a solution to another problem.

BETH MAKES SOME CONFESSIONS. When Beth's evasive about her date, Fiz clocks Kirk's eye and knows something's up. She tackles Beth who tells her what really happened. Fiz has a go at her for taking advantage of Kirk. It soon becomes clear however that Beth is actually quite smitten with him. Fiz encourages her to go for it.

Gloria convinces Stella to take part in the Pub of the Year competition but she enters herself as the landlady.

Sneak preview of tonight's double Corrie, Monday 17th September

Coronation Street, 7.30pm

TINA TURNS TO RITA WHILST TOMMY TRIES TO STOP HER PLANS. Tina tries to make Tommy see that what she's going to do will make no difference to them but he won't listen. He heads off to see Owen and begs him not to let Tina do the surrogacy. Tina meanwhile pours her heart out to Rita about the state of her and Tommy's relationship, without giving away too many of the details. She's encouraged by this to have another go at persuading Tommy she's doing the right thing but he insists he wants nothing to do with it. He tells her he can't promise he'll be at home when she gets back and leaves Tina in pieces. When Rita tackles Tommy for hurting Tina, she's stunned at what he tells her.

KIRK RESCUES BETH. Kirk stays silent as the factory is buzzing about the bloke Beth's hoping to bag, but later offers to give her lift to her date with destiny. When they arrive outside a pub on a rough estate, Kirk notices beneath the bravado that Beth's quite nervous. He bolsters her confidence by telling her she looks gorgeous. He watches forlornly as she heads into the pub. Inside, Beth's taken back when her date Dave looks nothing like his web picture. After knocking back his drink, Dave suggests they cut to the chase and go back to his. Beth scoffs, asserting that she's not that easy. When Dave reckons at their age they can't afford not to be, she leaves the pub with Dave in pursuit. He starts threatening her, but thankfully she has a white knight waiting to swoop in for the rescue.

SUNITA RETURNS TO LIFE IN THE SHOP. Sunita tells Karl that Dev offered her a job and to her surprise Karl tells her to take the job as they need the money. At the shop Dev is cold and businesslike to Sunita. Later he hears Karl discussing plans to cook a special meal for Sunita to make up for their morning tiff. He grins, hatching a plan.

A discovery in his cab gives Lloyd an excuse to visit Mandy


Coronation Street, 8.30pm

TOMMY PREPARES TO LEAVE WEATHERFIELD. As Owen watches on, Rita tackles Tina who confirms Tommy's bombshell. Reminding her what she's doing isn't legal, she offers her money if that's what she needs. Tina insists she knows what she's doing and the legalities will be fine if no one finds out. Later Tina returns home and crumbles when she realises Tommy has gone. Owen sees Tommy at the bus stop with his bags and tells him he thinks he's a fool for leaving. Tina's making a sacrifice to rescue him from his own mess and doing something wonderful for Gary and Izzy at the same time. Owen's words have clearly had an impact on Tommy, but will they make him change his mind?

BETH SEES KIRK IN A WHOLE NEW LIGHT. Picking Kirk up off the ground from where he's been floored by Dave, Beth quickly helps him into the van and tells him to drive. On the way back they run out of fuel. Kirk heads off to a service station with Beth who's still grateful for his intervention and horrified he was hurt. During the walk along the hard shoulder they share tales of their lacklustre love lives. Beth reckons it's never been easy. Kirk tells her he can't understand why. He thinks she's lovely. Are the pair getting close enough to share a goodnight kiss when they get back to Weatherfield?

LLOYD PERSISTS IN HIS ATTEMPT TO REKINDLE AN OLD FRIENDSHIP. Lloyd presents Mandy with the bracelet she left in his cab last night. He doesn't notice her reticence as he invites himself in for a cuppa. As he sips his tea, Mandy subtly tries to get him to go. When he doesn't take the hint, she tells him she has no interest in revisiting their friendship and asks him to leave. Later, Eileen tells him its probably for the best. There's little to be gained from harking back to the past. Lloyd supposes she's right but it's clear he's not entirely convinced.

Dev ruins Karl's romantic gesture by keeping Sunita back late and Gloria reads about a Pub of the Year competition and forms a plan

Dreaming of a white Corrie Christmas

Contrary to the tabloids reporting that Sacha Parkinson had spoiled storylines by tweeting pictures of a snow filled Coronation Street, Corrie have released a full gallery over at itv.com here. Real SFX have done the special effects for the wintry episodes, they were also used for the tram crash last year. Just one month to Christmas now, so don't forget to do your Christmas shopping before it's too late, Corrie fans!
