Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 6th Nov 8.30 pm

Paul confronts Josh in the hospital room, having sneaked in, whilst disguised as a janitor/ nurse in full scrubs. I wonder where the outfit came from and how did he sneak past security? I'm also bemused as to how Paul can easily threaten Josh, yet can't confront Kel? I guess the rationale would be that it's not HIS abuser, and I suppose he can be himself with Billy, Josh isn't someone from HIS past. Paul goes full throttle in the hope of changing his mind. Will threats of violence really work?

Beaten by Beth's expensive headstone demands, Ken heads home; defeated and deflated. Confiding in Claudia, she decides they should head to Scotland to bring Daniel home.

The Tinkers/Barlows have been at war for a while, so Beth waving the white flag (and accepting Sinead's simpler funeral plan) is a sigh of relief, from me. Having said that, hasn't Beth been a revelation? Lisa George is proving to be a superb actress!

Talking of fraught families, it's nice to see some sibling closeness from Emma and Amy.  Since finding out they are half-sisters, Emma and Amy have bonded quickly, and Amy admits to her sister that Tyler is back on the scene (got her pregnant, Vicky's son, etc) and is sending her texts. Insisting they are just friends, Emma promises to keep the secret from Steve. Will she do it?

Reinvigorated from her exam, Abi is back on the cider and her closeness with Kevin seems to be rubbing Sally up the wrong way.  Over a pint, Kevin tells Abi that she can stop at his gaff until it boils over. Less swayed by Kev's new loaded status, I think Abi just wants a friend, but as we know, Kev has other ideas. Confronting Sally, Abi, not content with staining Sal's sofa with chilli sauce, she pours pomidoras (Nigella's, no less) all over her head. Was this humourous?

In prison, Imran calls an urgent meeting with David and tells him that Josh Tucker has changed his statement, admitting it was Tez and Abe, after all. Calling Shona to break the good news, David is cornered by Abe. Meanwhile, on hearing the good news, Shona is buoyant and puts the wedding plans back into action. Can David be released within 24 hours, or will they get married in the prison itself?

Later, and after Paul pleads guilty to changing Josh's mind, Billy gives his ex boyf a big hug. Are these two destined to get back together?

Back from the Circus, Gangster Gary (that's what I'm calling him now) also seems to be jovial and clowning around with Maria and the kids. Scaring Johnny in the pub (reminding me of Phelan) Gary gets news from his P.I about Ali's dodgy drug deals at the hospital and makes a decidedly wicked threat.

Is Gary about to unleash some carnage on the cobbles?

Coronation Street Episode Review, Weds 19 June 7.30pm

If you go down to the woods today be sure of a big surprise... or not, as Gary and Rick do battle again to find out who is Corrie's ultimate alpha-male!

Joking aside, a fresh grave has been dug but is anybody going inside it? As the camera pans across the desolate woods we are left to wonder.

Back on Coronation Street, Sarah is beside herself with worry at Gary's disappearance, and Tyler tells Robert the baby news. At the Bistro, the surprise proposal party is yet to start and with Robert obviously waylaid fighting with Tyler, Michelle's detective skills require little effort. Finding everybody 'hiding' and a 'comedy' celebration cake, it isn't long before she opens a box and a 'happy engagement' balloon pops out.

Roy's had Wayne and Brian run rings round him over Sylvia's mysteriously bequeathed jewellery. Now that Roy's investigation has proved his mother had an affair, can anything further come from Wayne and Brian's sleuthing? At the shop, Brian has somehow got hold of a box belonging to Roy, and the investigation appears to continue.

At the Baileys, Aggie's one noise women crusade against Claudia continues. With Aggie eagerly bashing Ernest's Bishop's piano, Claudia decides to delve into Ken's eclectic vinyl collection in hope of drowning out 'chopsticks'.

Arriving home at the same time, Ken and Ed decide not to disrupt their respective partners and head for a peaceful pint instead.

Before Sarah has had time to tell Bethany anything, Gary suddenly arrives at the Platts and he's on his own. Sarah decides it's time they had a talk.

Heading over to Roy's, Brian and Wayne have met a lady called Alice Parrot, who appears to have a connection to Sylvia's ring and ask to go upstairs to Roy's flat trying not to disturb Ken and Beth's photography class. Can a competition with the Gazette fire up Bethany's interest in the classes?

Back at Roy's flat, Alice tells Roy all about his mothers' affair with her father and Roy discovers a different side to his often cold and conceited mother.

Meanwhile, Michelle heartily accepts Robert's proposal but he struggles to mask his fight wounds.

Over a heart-to-heart, Sarah admits her affair with Adam and Gary takes the news badly. Struggling to accept that it's over, Gary pushes Sarah against a wall. Swiftly leaving, Gary takes Bethany's car and is soon back in the woods.It's dark, and he's got rubber gloves, which surely only leads to one conclusion. Has Gary killed Rick?!

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 12 June 7.30pm

Welcome to this week's mid-week Coronation Street episode review as we welcome a new family to those hallowed cobbles. With the new residents arriving at No. 3, Ken is still unhappy with the noise and disruption, and continues to get wound up by new patriarch Ed Bailey.

Sarah's flirtations with Adam Barlow continue over a coffee. Admitting she has no legal representative, Adam steps up to the plate and hopes Carla can hand her control of the factory.

Meanwhile, Shona and David question Nick's involvement in Natalie's disappearance, with Leanne swearing to Nick that the Nottingham lass has left for good. When David still can't find his phone, he wonders where he last left it. Realising it was at the barber shop, whilst he was talking to Leanne, he soon puts two and two together.

At the builders' yard, Eileen shows new owner Ed Bailey around and we meet his businessman son Michael. Gary tries to coax a job out of them but is left disappointed. At least he has a 'date' with Sarah to soften the blow.

Still wounded from Sally's attempt to sell Tiny, Tim is ridiculed by Abi and his wife but he's glad the old nag is back (he's definitely in love with the horse). Scuppered by this new threesome, Sally is given some advice by Yasmeen.

Inside No. 3 Steve is introduced to Aggie Bailey, her husband Ed, and her son James - the latter Steve recognises immediately. Welcomed in by the new neighbours, Steve tries to hide why he knows James but the truth about the taxi accident is revealed, and Ed confronts his son.

Meanwhile, Michael Bailey catches the attention of Maria and Michelle but Michael is only interested in Michelle. A downhearted Maria wonders if she's losing her mojo. Tracking down Michelle at the Bistro, Michael confirms a date with her, whilst Robert plays it cool.

At the solicitors, Nick dismisses Sarah's coup for the factory and still thinks he's holding all of the cards. Feeling a little deflated, Sarah seeks more advice from Adam and tells Gary that she can't make their 'date' after all. Adam forces Nick to back off but not before Nick hints that he knows Adam's real intentions for his sister.

Meanwhile, Bethany convinces Gary to give it one more try with Bethany, handing him the keys to an empty Platt house.

Admitting that Nick has given in to his demands, Adam goes round to the Platts to tell Sarah the good news - which she reciprocates with a big snog, just as a key is turned in her front door!

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 05 June 7.30pm

Still looking for her smartphone, Roy rummages through Carla's mobile phone stash, in hope of finding Sarah's. Gary hangs around in the background looking a bit suspicious.

Struggling without her handset, Sarah takes out her frustration on Adam who sees this as a signal to ask her out on a date. Cementing his charm back onto the cobbles, Adam is soon smoothing David over a game of table football and is obviously trying to get into Sarah's good books.

As David and Nick continue to fight, Gail and Audrey make amends. It seems Gail has done some digging on Lewis. It turns out the old cad WAS going to propose to Audrey on the night he died. It's almost serendipitous, considering how her grandsons have disgraced her.

Dev announces that he'd like to take the kids to India, much to Asha's dismay. With Dev still looking for someone to manage the shop, Evelyn arrives just in time to spot a  shoplifter, who quickly scurries. As Dev finds his new shopkeeper, Chesney faces trouble at the kebab shop as Gemma's morning sickness becomes increasingly severe. Taking a turn for the worst, she proceeds to faint at the smell of Dev's garlic mayo and Chesney rushes her to hospital.

As a scan is undertaken, Gemma suddenly remembers that she comes from a long line of twins (I think we know where this is going).

At The Rovers, Norris tells Rita that the offers for No. 3 are coming in thick and fast but he's yet to make it up with Freda.

Dressed in black and still mourning Brendan, a maudlin Mary has also yet to forgive Norris for destroying the love letters. Rita manages to bring the duo back together, and just like any other married couple,they bicker intermittently, until Mary finally realises that Brendan was actually a bit of a g*t.

Making amends with Mary, Norris again wavers about leaving the street and grasps at Mary's hand, just as Freda walks in. Awkward! Meanwhile, Sarah and Adam are flirting over a hotpot, before being interrupted by Gary. Double awkward!

Back at the hospital, Gemma's scan reveals... twins? No, triplets? No, oh hold on, I've read about this - its quads! Chesney proceeds to faint - that's double fainting!

It's also a double for me tonight so I'll be back soon with a review of the 8.30pm episode.
