Gabrielle Glaister is returning to Coronation Street.
An insider told the Daily Star Sunday: "Gabrielle was approached by Corrie execs earlier this year. After a series of top-secret meetings, she signed on the dotted line. Everyone is now really excited. The writers are planning some great storylines. There’s going to be plenty of drama."
ITV have now confirmed that Gabrielle is returning to Corrie, but not as Debs Brownlow. She's going to be doppelganger for a character on the street! Find out all about it here.

Really bizarre if this is true - Debs wasn't a particularly impactful character when she was on the street, and as of now there are no characters living there that she really had any connection with.
Think it’s more likely that the actress is rejoining the show but in a new role.
I agree with Charles' comments as there are too many characters already who haven't been featured in storylines.
As for Debs,perhaps her only connection to the Street is Kevin and maybe she has an affair with him?
She might have a connection with Glenda?
Debs Brownlow is the hairdresser sister of Natalie Barnes (Denise Welch) who first appears in The Rovers Return after working on a cruise ship for a number of years. (And she left to work in a cruise ship)
Debs was a hairdresser and also on cruise ships. Perhaps she knows Glenda or could take over the salon. X
What if Gabrielle is playing the role of Gabrielle Reid, the unknown woman whose credit card Stephen is using. Perhaps Stephen is broke and he is in cahoots and may be married to this woman and they are conning her out of her cash, most likely leading to Audrey appreciating Gail, David et al.
I think Gabrielle Reid is a fictitious character created by Stephen in order to get another credit card.
More details re Gabrielle Glaister have now emerged. Utterly ridiculous. She is no doppelgänger, there is just a vague resemblance.
