Preview of today's Coronation Street - Monday 9 December 2024

Monday 9th December 2024

As Bertie runs across the street without looking, Debbie slams on her brakes which causes more tension between Daniel and Debbie. Daniel and Bethany make up, but it’s short-lived when Bethany realises that Jenny is wearing her top. How will Daniel explain this to Bethany? Kevin warns Daniel to stay away from Debbie, but as Daniel gets heated, Jenny and Daisy intervene and order him to go home. As Daisy heads out of the pub, she’s shocked to see Debbie’s car speeding past and suddenly there’s a deafening crash.

Bethany confides in Sarah about her clothes but Sarah urges her to consider ending the relationship. Will Bethany take her mum's advice?

David tells Shona that she’d better sleep on the sofa. As Shona beds down on the sofa she receives a text. Shona taps on a hotel bedroom door. Who is Shona visiting?

Sneaking back into No.8, Shona clutches her injured arm and lies to David, making out she fell down the stairs during the night resulting with a broken arm in two places.

After admitting to Sarah that she’s nervous about her 12 week scan and hasn’t told the family about her pregnancy yet, Sarah insists she’ll come with her.  In the maternity unit waiting room, Dee-Dee is a no show.

Roy receives a parcel which turns out to be Evelyn’s Christmas present. Evelyn rips open the gift and is delighted to find a backgammon set. When Evelyn sets up her backgammon board in the pub, Steve accidentally spills his beer over it. Evelyn retaliates by sending Steve a letter informing that she’s taking him to the small claims court. What will Steve do?

It's hardly Debbie's fault that Bertie runs into the road without looking! More Daniel's for not teaching him road safety.
Why on earth would Jenny help herself to Bethany's clothes? Daisy was supposed to hide them.
If Evelyn chooses to take her backgammon into a busy pub she shouldn't be surprised that it gets damaged. The obvious solution is for Steve to replace it. Completely out of character for Evelyn to sue him.

I agree with you Anon....kids running in the street, should have held his hand. Of course Steve would buy her a new board he's not a total numpty and she probably would never sue over something so small...too American. We knew the clothes would provoke an argument didn't we when Daniel gave the clothes to Daisy for "safekeeping".....should have stored them at ken's.

If Evelyn seriously thinks she's going to take up the court's time with her nonsense, then she is losing the plot.

If Evelyn seriously thinks she's going to take up the court's time with her nonsense, then she is losing the plot. As Judge Judy always says: "I didn't go to law school for this."

Another example of the writers giving someone a story that's completely out if character. Evelyn has morals. She wouldn't try to rip Steve off. She'd simply demand a replacement game.
