We need to talk about Toyah. She behaved badly last week: I don't mean her interfering and minding other people's business - she's on a soap for Pete's sake, or her white saviour complex. I mean persuading Abi to keep the baby - for three different reasons. Maybe the baby would be better off being adopted by a loving bi-racial couple (*cough* Toyah *cough* Imran) than with perennial screw-up and recovering/non-recovering addict, Abi. Secondly, Toyah knew nothing about how social services would react, so once she'd got Abi's hopes up, they were dashed again by Susan* the Social Worker, and thirdly, the baby was born three months prematurely; I don't wish to be morbid but he might not survive. Or might be disabled, which is even more work for a vulnerable mother.
* Might not be her actual name
Anyway, Susan says Alfie is going to be taken into care and Abi needs to prove that she has mended her ways (I'm paraphrasing) if she wants to keep the baby. Meanwhile, over at 19a, Toyah's bleating on about how lucky she is, so I think her world is about to come tumbling down, non? Imran spies Toyah talking to Abi, then she asks him for a family lawyer recommendation for Abi's case. She mentions the baby was born at 28 weeks, and he does some double quick maths and goes into full panic mode. He tries to phone Abi but she doesn't pick up, so he follows her to the hospital, where she admits Imran is the baby-daddy. He starts insisting on telling Toyah, but Abi is not keen and makes up a lie to our Toyah about asking Imran for legal advice. He says he will help her fight for custody.

Ghastly Grace is back back back. Urgh. I don't want to be one of those toxic fans who lose their rags when James Bond has blond hair or Ghostbusters are now women (it's a well known fact that ladies cannot bust ghosts) and whatever Star Wars fans were upset about, but I am well aggrieved that GG is back. She's a terrible character. She demands more money from Ed and Aggie (yawn) and then flounces off to the pub. Has anyone tried chucking water over her?

Daniel agrees to help Naughty Nicky with her sex-cardie prep for her first lesson, leaving Daisy with that sucking limes face she does so well. She persuades Max to give Nicky hell in the lesson for the princely bribe of £40 and then goes into her own panic mode as Daniel both postpones the appointment and tells Daise that NN really needs the job. She cancels the plot but Max says he's keeping the down payment. Fair play.
As an aside, Daniel's looking very ripped under that sensible school shirt, isn't he? I'm surprised that he has time to go to the gym, what with being a dad to a (albeit invisible) toddler, being the only teacher at Weathy High, coaching Summer, coaching Naughty Nicki, feuding with the Platts, and keeping Daisy, erm, satisfied.

Gary takes advantage of Laura being in pain to persuade her against meeting up with the PI. Gary knows his days are numbered, right?
Oh and Tracy insists on some mother-daughter time, which means that Amy has to cancel her date with lover-boy. Mums, hey. The bane of teens everywhere.
