New character joins Coronation Street

What with Martha Fraser and Colin Grimshaw leaving Coronation Street in May, it's no surprise to hear that there's a new character coming in. News just in from the cobbles to the blog says that the new character will be the dad of Sophie Webster's new mate Sian and he'll be a fella called Vinnie.

The actor has yet to be cast to play Vinnie but apparantly, he's not best pleased to find out about his daughter going out with Ryan Connor.
