It's an outrage. Betty Williams is going to be sacked by new Rovers Return manager Poppy, says The Sun.
But don't worry, Betty's not leaving Coronation Street. Phew. I can breathe a sigh of relief now.

And not before time too. She may well be regarded as part of the fixtures and fittings but as a barmaid she's rubbish. bar staff should be jolly, friendly types, not miserable, insulting and judgemental like Betty.
Betty is the show's Greek Chorus and we can't be doing without her!!
Kim Crowther has kept her promise. She commented when reassuring fans that Rita, Emily and Betty would have storylines this year. Rita is going to be involved in the Colin/Paula/Julie fiasco and Betty's being sacked. Now, what about Emily? Going to protest about the new vicar? New love? Let's see!
It's not the first time Betty's been sacked - or walked out - and I'm sure it'll not be the last. Long live our Betty!
