He's the cutest kid to hit Coronation Street in a long time.Simon Barlow is played by actor Alexander Bain and Corrie fans might have seen Alexander on telly already.
Alexander appeared in a Rice Krispies advert and also turned up in the BBC Steve Coogan show Sunshine.

I had to say that I think the on-screen chemistry between Simon and the rest of the Barlows is superb. I think it's a shame that they are making him stay quiet and not say any lines, because he's a brilliant actor and the fact that he just doesn't say much makes it unrealistic.
I think he should start getting his own storylines already.
He is quite brill. I'd like him and little Josh Peacock to become friends too.

i have to admit it simon aka alex is so cute and the atoryline with him and his dad peter on cructses was brill i think he is around 8 for anyone asking and he defiently should win the young actor award
