So Daniel got hit over the head; turns out that Will was responsible for the initial assault which Maggie witnessed from the upstairs window at number 1, She left number one and went round to the entryway or ginnel and removed his watch and wallet which have now been found on a rough sleeper who is being detained at His Majesty's local residence on the belief that if he has the stolen items he must be responsible for the assault and theft. We know different.
Talking of things we know but most of the Street does not yet know. Becky has Carla contained in a closet - or she did. There is a mystery phone call where someone has done something for Becky so I think we might assume that Carla is no longer in the closet.
Elsewhere we have known for some time that Carl is a disreputable, dishonest Tyrone injurer and all round bad egg. Tracy has been on his case for some time and has a few words with Abi about men being deceitful. Abi also spots that Michael has a necklace identical to James who reveals that they both had the same gift from their mother Aggie this year and she ahs already seen the identical one of the sofa in the flat. By dint of asking Carl to type in his passcode to his phone and reading the messages Carl has been exchanging with James it is now clear that Abi has her worst suspicions confirmed - what Abi does not yet know and Debbie has not yet worked out is just how much Carl has ripped off of R'Debbie.
Theo has booked a spa break for himself and Todd - and inevitably it falls on the same date as Summer has organised for her and Todd to attend a film festival and Q&A with Andrew Scott, which was not in the diary so Theo knew nothing about it. Inevitable Todd feels he has to go on the spa break and Billy tells Todd how he has changed since got with Theo and leaves a sour taste all the way round. These things happen - but we all start wondering where the hotel is - apparently Anne Boleyn stayed there but it turns out it is in Somerset.
Unsolved crimes against storytelling this week. Alya has been homeless as far as I am aware since Yasmeen sold the house to Carla. Amazingly she is going to move in with Adam - wherever he is living? Also worth noting tonight was Evelyn who was wondering about stirring the pot with Abi. Maggie and at the start of the episode walking Roy's dog she found Daniel lying down.
I should be here next week but will definitely not be here the following week as I am once again going on holiday.

Good review. Lots of things puzzle me in Corrie- as you say, where has Alyah been living? I assumed that she was already living with Adam, in a flat in Victoria court.
Someone said they were moving into Kit's old flat, but I can't remember who.
If it was George and Chrissy, Todd would be able to move back into Eileen's house. He can anyway, and take Sean's old room, which was downstairs at the front. I honestly don't know why he doesn't.
Kit's old flat is the one with the spiral staircase that Elaine lived in. Kit moved into Sarah's place- maybe that was why Bethany was at the Platts for Xmas day, to give the couple time to themselves.
Dee dee's flat will be empty now so Daniel could move back to his own flat with Bertie, leaving his empty. Dee dee rented her flat from Daniel.
So, Megan is sleeping with Daniel, as well as Will. That'll be interesting...
Gail's video call was a farce. All I can say is, it's clear that her acting days are over. She read the lines as herself, not Gail.
It was nice to see dame Maureen but all she seemed to do over the festive season was walk the dog with Roy.
Now Abbey has discovered that Carl has cheated, I'm sure she'll realise that she's made a terrible mistake leaving Kevin.
I'm sorry to be basic but how is Carla relieving herself while tied up. This is how bored I am with the storyline. Yes, I know, suspend your disbelief and assume she does the necessary with a knife at her throat. But with one bound, she could have been free. Sadly, the story will continue as she seems to be headed for another destination. Amnesia Clinic in the far reaches of somewhere?
Maggie doesn't work for me. Completely one-dimensional at the moment and her redemption story might come too late. I guess Maggie and Eva could bond when suspicions about Megan grow. They orchestrate her downfall and she loses her job. Will might want to follow but Maggie holds the trump card. She'll tell him that she saved him but she can also dob him into the police.
I assume that Carla is being held in Costello's lake district house. So that means Becky is driving there and back, sometimes in one day. I don't think Lisa would jump back into bed with Becky. If she had any sense at all, she'd kick her out.
Todd is currently a victim of coercive control. It is difficult for anyone in this situation just to up and leave
I don't think it's feasible for Becky to travel to the lakes to visit Carla as it's a minimum of an hour and half journey each way from Manchester
What I don't get is why Carla has just let Becky wander into her house whenever she felt like it.
I don't think it's feasible for Becky to keep Carla captive in The Lakes at it's a minimum of an hour and half journey each way from Manchester. It's too far to travel every day there and back
But that will also incriminate her
So where is Carla being kept then, as it's not that clear to me, and why is there a thing around Costello about rhubarb hill? I presumed that was the name of his cottage in the lake district.
Don’t Todd and Theo live on DeeDee’s old flat?
LOL Humpty. I wondered the same. Becky had a flat before she moved to Lisa's to escape the supposed gangsters. So I assume that's where she is holding Carla. As for her wandering into the house, how did she get into the factory the other week, when Carla pretended to be drunk?
Also, why do all these flats remain empty after a tenant moves out? Surely the landlord or council still wants the rent?
Well, we've seen that Carla isn't in Costello's house- she's in a flat. I guess it's Becky's flat?
Theo and Todd live in the flat above Dev's, I think, which has been rented out to a variety of people over time.
It's interesting that Abbey turned to Tracy for a shoulder to cry on. I would have thought Sally would have been better.
It's been difficult, getting used to the 30 minute episodes but I'll have to, from January!
Tracy was a "friend" of Abi's in the past. I don't feel Abi would go to Sally, as she's more likely to take the side of Kevin and hand no sympathy for Abi's current situation
It is Dev's flat because in the Todd and Theo episode, it was Dev and Bernie who went to investigate, as the flat belongs to Dev. There are no council owned flats on the street. Daniel has lost the rent from Dee dee, as she lived in the flat he owns.
