I think we all know that Dev cannot count and so we are tonight celebrating the 19th birthday of Aadi and Asha which in terms of US soap age changes is minor! Meanwhile Aadi has a hell of a hangover and is dosing himself with painkillers. Asha is treated to a fuss by Dev and breakfast. Asha and Nina are still apologising to each other over Isla etc. Nina and Aadi are also still talking about the "kiss". They both agree to never mention it again - OK? OK! Aadi has bought a bracelet for Asha and she observes he only buys nice presents when he is feeling guilty. And he is looking guilty! Nina springs to his defence and Asha demands to know what has happened. Nina admits they kissed. Asha is distraught. The birthday lunch is never served. Aadi cancels the planned party at his flat and is reduced to solo drinking. Asha eventually lands up at the flat and gives an apparently drunk and comatose Aadi a piece of her mind over letting his lips touch those of Nina! She never wants to speak to him again. Asha later tells Amy (who was going to give Aadi a second chance) that Aadi is dead to her now.
In a sign of how the mighty have fallen we are subjected to Carla complaining about her missing banana. Bobby is responsible, of course, as he is later for organising further mayhem at the factory. He then calls her a sad cat lady in the making. Bobby tells her that she should "put herself out there again". Sarah rescues Bobby from the sack or worse by announcing that he is back to top of the sales chart! Secretly Carla smiles.
Damon is worming his way around the place - Ed admits to Sarah that he is working for Damon who is trying to turn his life around. Sarah bumps into Damon on the Street later in front of his expensive car and suggests that they go for a drink. Later Damon returns to the Street and finds his car has undergone "unscheduled disassembly" - or been crushed! Damon makes a decision that he has to leave Weatherfield and visits Sarah's flat to tell her he will be departing. He tells Sarah that he believes Harvey was behind the car's crushing. He is going to keep Sarah safe. But Sarah stops him at the door and snogs his face off.
Gemma and Chesney have a meeting with social services - but despite their pleading the chances of Gemma returning home are not looking any brighter at the moment. They assure each other that they will make it through this together (but apart at the moment). And in a news release Linda will be arriving on Monday.
Cassie wants to spend the money she has stolen and suggests a meal to Evelyn. She is later caught counting the dough by Hope who demands a cut for her silence. Once PC Tinker admits that money was stolen from Terry as well as the assault (£1500 for a puppy is daylight robbery as well) it does not take long for Evelyn to add it all up and demands the truth from Cassie. Terry cannot be charged because there was no money - just puppies. Cassie admits she found the money on the way out and she knew the police would not charge Evelyn. And she has not spent the money on drugs. Mother and daughter argue themselves to a standstill as neither will give ground.
Amy wants to see Aadi and Gav is able to enable entry into the flat using his debit card (that old trick) where she finds Aadi completely out of it, unresponsive and a constant unwelcome beeping noise from a monitor. An ambulance is summoned. In the hospital waiting area Dev has just arrived when a red jacketed professional reveals that Aadi ahs suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, probably an old boiler (hardly an accurate description of Courtney). Having seen Aadi, Dev tries to talk Asha down - is a kiss that important? Roy Cropper is talking bats as the cafe is cleaned but Nina is not listening - he proffers advice to Nina when Mary pops in to ask for change and to ask after Aadi - which is the first Nina has heard of his illness. Asha and Aadi apologise to each other. Aadi tries to convince Asha that it meant nothing. However Asha has made a decision and when Nina arrives they sit down and Asha announces
"we are over".
Roll credits.
Depending on personal events I may (or may not be here) for the next two weeks as I am away to Madeira for some winter sun. I was not overly enthralled this evening so a break may do me good and I hope that my return will enable engagement with Street happenings.

Bobby's success relies on there being some chemistry between him and Carla. Carla and Michelle worked well as a double-act so it's possible Carla will manage to get something from her new play-mate. He's not actually acting atm and Bradley Walsh was the same when he first joined as Danny Baldwin. He behaved like a gameshow host in the factory and the workers were his contestants. Fortunately, Bradley Walsh turned out to be a great actor when he was given the right script and possibly toned down by the director. They will probably promote Bobby as he will need screen time with Carla. He might be the maverick factory worker who ignores all the rules and still gets the deals.
The Aadi/Nina kiss is the dumbest storyline they've ever done save for the Sara/Damon "romance" which is even dumber.
Who is looking after the quads and Joseph when Chesney is at work, and Gemma isn't allowed to be alone with them. Bernie is away and she's in jail.
I know this is why Linda has been brough back but I wish these things were explained, instead of ignored.
I agree that Jack Carroll is just playing himself.
This is an aspect that the soaps don't seem to be bothered about but to me, it's kind of cheating the audience.
I'm getting fed up of the puppy farm plot.
What's more interesting is Cassie trying to come between Abbey and Kevin.
I don't see Kev as a great catch myself but hey ho!
If she's into older men, she could get involved with Stu and then scam him out of his compensation money.
Agree but it's going to get worse. Tracy and Tommy O! What kind of crap storyline is that! Can I get the telephone number of Wayne Rooney, I need my hall decorating. Would prefer Thierry Henry but I think he might be busy.
I am getting fed up with CS full stop! Completely crap storylines by writers who do it in their tea breaka and should be given their P45s. If in doubt as always have a blackmail or affair story!!!!! YAWN. The Tommy O thing is completely ridiculous, PC Tinker is more like inspector Clouseau and the acting is rubbish all round apart from Peter Ash.
I fast forward through the Bobby scenes.
