Conversation Street Podcast Episode #519

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 18th and the 22nd April (Episodes #10616 - 10621).

This week, Nicky's career in education is over almost before it begins thanks to Max spreading pictures of her from her time as a cardigan wearer for hire around the school. Meanwhile, Ed makes an interesting discovery under Rick's floorboards, Imran struggles to resist the urge to play dirty when trying to unearth evidence that Abi's back on drugs, and Summer's diabulimia nearly causes her to loses her life - and, even more importantly, her place at Oxford!

Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where we chat about this ITV's fascinating celebration of 90 years of Bill Roache and take a look at who's nominated in the British Soap Awards this year. We finish off the podcast with more of your listener feedback.

This week's bonus podcast is a character profile of Emma Brooker, who sadly jetted out of Weatherfield for pastures new on the other side of the world earlier this month. Thanks to her bubbly personality, sweet naivety and unwitting comic timing, Emma soon became a firm favourite of many a Corrie viewer, but did she end up getting a bit too much tragedy thrown at her towards the end of her time on the show? We discuss all this and more, including our favourite Emma moments, the inevitable Raquel comparisons and the unusual story behind how she became an extra branch on the McDonald family tree.
