Anyone wondering what Adam Rickett is up to these days? You must remember him, he played Nicky Tilsley. Anyway, for the last two years Adam has been starring in the New Zealand soap Shortland Street. It's the number one soap in New Zealand and Coronation Street comes in at second place. There's more on Adam Rickett in an interview with the Manchester Evening News.

I can confirm that in my family (and there are a fair few of us) that Coronation Street is THE NUMBER ONE soap!! We just love it over here in NZ!!! And my in laws in Australia love it too, but they have to get it on Pay TV. Its on on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays here and we are just over a year behind. But my two youngest ages 8 and 9 are definate Coro fans too!!! :)
With British banks reporting 10 billion pound losses, workers of the world famous Mini being fired without a bye or leave, the value of the pound dropping like a stone, and the news full of businesses going bankrupt day after day, I'm unaccountably pleased to read busy lizzie's post above.
- With everything collapsing about our ears, it's somehow reassuring to be reminded that we can make something that is worthwhile and appreciated around the world.
Busy Lizzie: Is he any good in Shortland Street? Has his acting improved since his Corrie days?
Um I dont watch Shortland Street!! I'll have to ask my teenage kids!! I think he is okay. Apparently though he loves NZ.
