Red-headed Rita, Queen of the Kabin

I don't know about you but I was shocked and stunned this week on Coronation Street when writer Jonathan Harvey revealed that Rita wasn't a real red-head. As the Queen of the Kabin is my personal favourite Corrie character, I couldn't let that go without a blog post. And so, here's a tribute to red-headed Rita, the Kabin shopkeeper.

Even in black and white, you knew Rita was a fiery red head, never afraid to speak her mind and speak as she finds.







Mind you, it looks like she did go for a darker brown at least once...

... although the green perm might have been a mistake.
