Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 21st of Nov 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of last nights two episode reviews.

Tim's ties to Gina continue to rock his relationship with wife Sally. As her trial against Duncan heads to the courtroom, Tim is nowhere to be seen.

Arrested again (and for drink driving no less), being Gina's saviour means Tim absence is duly noted, but luckily, he is freed by Weatherfield cops & just in the nick of time. Sophie also apologises to the pompous QC she offended, who unluckily, is in charge of Sally's trial.

Arriving later than planned, Gina and Tim crash into the court, just as Duncan takes to the stand.

Over on Coronation Street, Emma takes Chesney for a run around the Red Rec whilst Gemma fawns over the newly blossoming relationship. No fawning for Chesney though, as the local Pizza shop is broken into, and he suspects Gemma's dodgy partner Spike. Suddenly offering the barmaid a Blackpool break with a wad of cash, it appears Chesney may be correct. At The Rovers, the police arrest Spike and Gemma suspects that Chesney has called them.

Back in court, Dodgy Duncan denies all criminality and sticks to his nefarious lie of Sally seducing him  for fraudulent gains.

Taking the stand, Paula offers a counter-argument (the truth), yet a confident Duncan quivers not once. As Sally's husband subtly observes the fraudsters opening defence statement, Duncan attacks Tim's character (spouting Sally's supposed verbatim) which causes the fraught cabbie to weight up the caustic comments.

Sally breaks under the pressure of the lies and shouts out in anger, causing an early adjournment of court.

In the holding cell, Tim visits Sally and sheepishly informs her of his arrest. Fuming Sally is enraged and Tim breaks under the strain of the afternoons opening drama.

Its seems Tim's rescue of Gina, may be the beginning of the end, for this once promising marriage?.

In other news; Brian gets asked to produce the school nativity and Maria takes charge again at Audrey's Salon.

Keep your eyes peeled for my 8.30pm review, coming to the blog later today.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 19th of Sept 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of tonight's two episode reviews...

As her trial looms, the last thing Sally needs is a solicitor she cant trust. Finding the list of Duncan's witnesses, plus busting his Battersby fling, may well have given her a false confidence.

Drama however, is never far away on Coronation Street.

The coupling of Paula and her daughter Sophie, couldn't have come at a worse time for Mrs Metcalfe

Angry at Paula's betrayal, Sally threatens a witness on the list, and decides to defend herself in Court. Will Sally save herself, or end up in jail?

Over at Barlow's Solicitors, salacious legal eagles continue to court controversy, as Leanne returns to work, and Imran immediately fires her. No pros or cons to that job then!.
.
Following the pub quiz, Ken is still rattled by Evelyn's behaviour, it seems his intellectual ego has taken a bashing.  Its a case of serendipity and P.G Wodehouse. Corrie is quite educational at times!.

In other news- Yasmeen wants to start a gardening competition at the community garden, and Tyler's Mum starts work at Underworld.

Anyway, that's me for another week.

I hope you've enjoyed my mid-week paean to the drama of Coronation Street.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 5th of Sept 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of tonights two episode reviews...

'You never know what goes on behind the scenes' says Gina Sneddon who's presence was ominous, during tonight's episode. One of my favourite characters (we share a personality trait), the newly single Gina is now forefront, having departed from Dev, and is immediately upsetting Sally. Her husband Tim is supportive of Gina living with them and lavishing Jack with her support, certainly cheers up Kevin.

Like I say, it is ominous. As tonight is full of little revelations!.

Today is Jackie's will reading. Unbeknown to Ty and Fiz, the other beneficiary is Ty's long-absent father. Leaving his Dad a ring, Jackie leaves her son an apologetic VHS video message. Following Roys failing video recorder (you knew he'd have one), Fiz calls Ty's Dad to Coronation Street, in hope of discovering the secret. Unfortunately for Tyrone, that's not his Dad. Even worse, Jackie wasn't even his mother either!.  Which isn't a problem Sophie has, as her mothers meddling throws up surprising repercussions...

Sally's lesbian cupid game may well have failed to match Sophie with Paula's daughter Isla, but Sophie has definitely caught Paula's eye. Using a travel book as a rue to visit Sophie, Paula makes her intentions perfectly clear...

Across the street, Dev struggles with cashless at the corner shop, and David struggles with cash- altogether!. It seems Max and Adi have an online football game going on and have emptied their respective Fathers credit card accounts!.

In other news-Billy is rubbish at lying, whilst Jude, on the other hand, continues to revel in his.

Anyway, that's me for another week.

I hope you've enjoyed my mid-week paean to the drama of Coronation Street.

Sally's new solicitor is a blast from the past

Next week in Coronation Street we'll see poor Sally dragged through the mud as she fights to clear her name in the dodgy Duncan fraud case.

She brings in a new solicitor called Paula Cunliffe and it's someone that Sally knows from her past, a childhood friend the tabloid rumours say.

But it also appears that Paula is going to become Sophie's new girlfriend! Oh, I do love a good soap tangle, don't you? Especially as Paula is a fair few years older than Sophie too.

Paula Cunliffe will be played by actress Stirling Gallacher and she's appeared in EastEnders, Holby City, Midsomer Murders, Casualty, Father Brown, Trollied - and many more TV shows too. Her Spotlight CV is here.
