Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 06th Feb 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog, and the first of tonight's two episodes-reviewed in a handy blog post.

Paul dossed at Rita's flat, with the siblings now reunited after the Victoria market saga. Armed with underworlds van, Paul seems to have really settled on the street. With twins reunited, let's hope no more van mishaps are in store...
The day of Jenny's court case has arrived and residents talk turns to The Rovers landlady. Is our (my) favourite redhead facing jail?.
Returning from London, Johnny greets an obviously anguished Jenny and does little to dispel his wife's fears.

Liz, also due to take to the stand, feels ready to take on the Connors. Swayed by Steve to give the Connors 'what for', Liz bumps into Rita on the street who tries to convince her that the court case is actually a fruitless affair. As the Connors gather outside the pub ready to depart, a distraught Gemma hatches a plan. Harassing Imran at the solicitors, Imran gives Gemma some perfect free advice. If Liz doesn't make it to court, the case could collapse.

At The Kabin, Brian and Cathy are feeling furtive with getting their feet under the newsagent's door, Rita, distracted by Jennys drama, knows little of who Norris is selling to.

Nick and David talk shop, with the delivery of a football table and a stack of hairdresser CVs. 
At the cafe, the lads decide that tattooed barbers may not attract enough hipster clientele and decide to hire sexy stylists instead (not very PC that boys!). Failing to poach Emma, the brothers turn down Bethany, as they want eye-candy to ogle (obviously their niece would be a bit weird)!. Anyway, It looks like the lads are going to be interviewing some 'totty' instead. Bethany feeds this tidbit of information back to Shona and Leanne, and the Platt girlfriends are on the warpath.

At Liz's flat, a desperate Gemma pays a visit and pleads Jenny's innocence. Twocking Underworlds van from Paul, Gemma and her brother have a plan.

In court, it seems Jenny's case is going to be delayed as the star witness Liz, hasn't turned up. It isn't long before the police are on the street looking for Liz, just as Paul and Gemma leave the scene, in Underworlds van.

Norris calls Rita to give her the news that he's sold the Kabin, just as new owners Brian and Cathy, walk in.

Is Liz in the van? will totty be hired at the barbers? will Rita self-combust and beat new newsagent owner Brian, to a pulp?.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 28th Feb 2018 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's first episode review on the Coronation Street Blog.

Tonight begins where Monday left off. Lee & Billy slowly emerge from their drug-induced coma and are back at the flat. With little thought to the state he's now in, Billy awakes, needing more drugs. The brothers head out and Summer sneaks in, hiding in a bedroom. On the brother's return, Summer overhears their narcotics adventure, causing  Billy to relinquish his responsibility for Summer, possibly for the final time?. It's a dark scene, as Billy delves new depths with lowlife Lee.

Out on Coronation Street, Phelan informs Alya and Kate that its time for a new tenant. Overhearing Alya and Kate's plight, Zeedan knows Sophie is looking for a new place, so the chef stirs things up for the flatmates. It isn't long before Sophie's dreaming of sprout curry and moving in, but Kate's true feelings remain with Rana. How long before Sophie realises where Kate's true intentions lie?

Making her true intentions to Audrey perfectly clear, Bethany is soon back working at the lap dancing club. Ignoring ex-boyfriend Craig's concern, (whose OCD is now becoming all-consuming), Bethany's time at the club looks short-lived. Under new management, her lecherous male boss likes his girls in bikinis but bolshy Bethany isn't having any of that. With a rowdy stag party in full swing, Bethany is chosen for a private dance. The problem being the stag looks a lot like Nathan Curtis, causing Bethany to have a flashback, and a leap forward, at the unsuspecting stag - with a glass bottle! It isn't long before she's arrested and bumps into a counting Craig, down at the station.

Will the ex-best friends be reacquainted through mutual turmoil?

Back at The Rovers Return, Dr Gaddas is looking for Liz.  She's found out that Moira has won a disciplinary hearing (see ya Colin!) and is returning to manage the surgery!

A definite favourite new character for me and some much-needed light-relief.

In amongst drugs-use, lap-dancing, cop shops, and kitchen retching it's certainly needed!

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 21st Feb 2018 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog. It's just the half-hour slot tonight as it's the Brit awards (my money is on Ed Sheeran, we all love a redhead on Corrie). So what happened in tonight's episode?. Let's find out...

Nicola is settling in at number 11 and is on leave from work. With Phelan and Eileen both busy, she scouts around the house for 'evidence' but Pat has his tracks covered, he's also pinched Nicola's flat keys.

Confused with 'pilly Billy's' Lazarus style withdrawal recovery, Eileen heads over to his flat and corners him for an answer. The vicar breaks another sin and lies to Mrs Phelan, he says he's feigning recovery for Summer's sake, but as he's running low on methadone.. that lie shan't last for long.

Over at the medical centre, Phelan drops in for a 'knee appointment' and returning receptionist Liz suggests Eileen could do with a break in Barcelona. Phelan isn't feeling jovial and dismisses Liz's idea. It isn't long before Liz spills the beans on Pat's controlling behaviour and the best friends are soon arguing about Eileen's choice of husband. Has Liz now come under Phelan's radar?.

Meanwhile, Jenny also drops into the medical centre, armed with her new Spanish address and dreams of leaving Weatherfield. However, with Roy needing to go to Hastings to care for his Mum, will Johnny leave a recovering Carla and Aidan in the lurch?. Of course not. A 3-month delay soon dashes Jenny's dreams, and as Carla gives her factory shares back to Aidan (he does not look well!) Johnny decides to go back to the factory helm. Jenny plays it cool-but how long before my favourite Corrie redhead explodes?.

As Phelan arrives back at N0.11, Nicola is on a sneaky phone call to Seb. Quickly ending the call and leaving the room, Phelan sneaks back the 'borrowed' keys and keeps a copy for himself. Nicola smugly thinks shes outwitted Pat, but we all know otherwise.

Proposing to Eileen that 'the devil makes work for idle hands' and that 'certain people' need to be removed from your life, are Pat's prophecies foreshadowing more murderous events?.
Has he got his eyes on a new victim?. Are Liz or Nicola safe?. Whats Phelan's plans with the keys?.

Do enjoy watching the nations favourite redhead on the Brit awards. Mine, however, will always be Jenny Bradley...oh for a trikini!.

I shall be back for another episode review, this time next week.
