SEAN HITS ROCK BOTTOM TO PROTECT HIS SON Sean asks Glenda if she can lend him £500.  She wonders if he’s in some sort of trouble. Brody meanwhile is pushing for his cash by the end of the day. When George and Eleen discover that Julie’s collection jar at the factory  is empty, George reveals that Sean asked Glenda for £500. Has Sean really stopped so low as to steal a dying woman's collection money? Sean heads up Victoria Street and texts Brody to tell him he’s got the cash and he’s at the meeting point as instructed.

ABI PUSHES ASIDE HER ATTRACTION TO CARL Debbie asks Kevin and Abi to help her try the wedding menu and tells them all that no expense has been spared. When Kevin has to go home as he isn’t feeling well Carl confides in Abi that his business in Germany is about to go bust. Abi assures him that Kevin will understand if he needs to fly back but Kevin’s gutted and wishes he could help. What will Carl do?

DEE-DEE’S VOICE IS FINALLY HEARD Dee-Dee attends a meeting with a rep from the Patient Advice and Liaison Service who assures her they’re investigating her complaint and Zoe, the midwife, was to blame. Outside the hospital, Dee-Dee finds Asha and Zoe in deep discussion.  Zoe tells Dee-Dee that she’s sorry for what she went through but none of it was her fault.

Asha calls at Dee-Dee’s flat and begs her to think twice about her complaint as it could ruin Zoe’s career. Dee-Dee stands her ground and points out that she was a victim of racism. Dee-Dee bumps into Wes on the street and recognises him from the hospital, unaware that he’s Zoe’s brother.

GEMMA IS ASKED TO RETURN THE FAVOUR When Lou offers to help out with the kids so that Chesney can take the job Dev has offered him working the festival  in London, Gemma’s immensely grateful. DeeDee....I watched the episode where DD gave birth. The NHS is overworked, not racist...disappointed in Corrie

I agree. I've found that nurses across the NHS are dismissive and they don't want to listen to patients. It's not a racist issue at all.

As someone with considerable experience of hospitals, I can confirm that I had nothing but the best treatment from NHS nurses. Nothing was too much trouble and they weren't phased by any individual problems or disabilities. They were of multiple races and nationalities so I have no idea where the idea of racism came from. The NHS couldn't survive without them, whether they are recent or 2nd /3rd generation immigrants, refugees or simply in the UK for experience.

I cannot fathom why Corrie is setting Abi up with Carl, would his brother really pursue his cancer stricken brothers wife. Truly awful character.

The whole Carl/ Abi thing doesn't ring true. Neither of them is irresistibly attractive, and Carl would really have to be a lowlife to pursue the wife of his seriously ill brother.
How does nasty Lou plan to pass herself off as an experienced stylist?
The cheek of Asha, who is usually so sympathetic, worrying about Zoe's career. If she was incompetent and unpleasant as we saw, she deserves to lose her job, or at least be disciplined, whether she is racist or not. Wes was really manipulative with Deedee, pretending to be on her side. How do we know he is Zoe's brother??

I would have thought Dee Dee would have better things to worry about such as who is going to adopt her baby daughter.
The plan with James and his partner fell through, Eddie and Micheal have other commitments and Debbie and Ronnie aren't in a position to take on a baby long term. Dee Dee hasn't got back in touch with social services regarding the adoption
Why not? To me, that ought to be her first priority, not worrying about rude nurses. To me, it's not worth getting het up about.
It happens to a lot of patients of within the NHS. It's the way it is these days. Running off to take legal action won't change the nurses attitude to patients.
Dee dee doesn't seem to give poor unwanted Lalia a second thought! Surely Aggie would be present for the birth of the baby, whether she was going to be adopted or not? Wouldn't Aggie want a say in all this? She'd be the ideal person to smooth over this whole bad treatment issue and she'd sort out Lalia's adoption quickly as well.
