I really disliked the Julie storyline...I feel she was brought in just to give Eileen a reason for leaving when she breaks up with George. It doesn't sit well with me...they had a good relationship....and Julie is carping on about settling.. She LEFT Brian once before, so what changed? Her dying? Stupid storyline.Good bye Eilash, it's been fun.
I agree. Eileen and George have been ambling along quite happily until now. Julie returning and her illness breaking up the couple doesn't really make sense. It feels contrived and it was only brought in as an exit plot for Eileen. But hey, this is a soap!
I've heard that the actress who plays Daisy is taking up a role in The archers. So she's gone from a popular, high profile TV soap to radio, where she's bound to have accepted a huge drop in salary? There's 2 former Archers actors in Corrie and I reckon more people watch Corrie than listen to The archers.
