Colson Smith, who plays copper Craig Tinker on Coronation Street, is leaving the show.
Writing on X, Colson said: "Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinkers time on the Cobbles is to come to end in 2025. I’ve LOVED every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the GREATEST street in the world. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in, on and around Coronation street."

This was the right move by the producers, Craig has no ties to the street now that his mother has left, his ex left a couple of years ago, and his flat is rarely seen. His scenes are mostly at work. It makes sense why Colson went to I'm a Celeb, get me outta here. Raise his profile.
