Gary Windass has spent the past two years literally getting away with murder.
However, with terminally ill Laura determined to find out once and for all what happened to her ex Rick Neelan, the clock is ticking for the one-time loan shark Gary Windass.
Laura hires a private detective forcing Gary to answer some very tricky questions.
When news reaches Gary of a new building development planned for the very place he buried Rick’s body he's worried.
It looks like the house of cards is about to come tumbling down for Gary.

It's about time that Gary's past comes to light.
I wonder if both Sarah [who lied for him to her husband Adam about Rick's death]and Maria be questioned as well?
I hope the truth about Rana's death also is revealed.
And not before time, even though he now seems to sporting a not quite so revolting haircut !
There's 'Death shock' in the media and it shows, Gary, Adam and Abbie.
Seeing as Sally Carmen begged to be considered for a role in Corrie, and Adam is a Barlow (and they've killed off mum Susan and dad Mike Baldwin)I can't see
either of these being killed off.
So my bet's on Gary.
The Windassess have left the street, there's only Fay (his adopted sister) Maria and his own sons Jake and and Zac, both of who we hardly see, as Jake lives with Izzy and Zak with his mum down south.
I don't think they know what to with Gary, really.
