Alison King, who plays Coronation Street's Carla "I'm going to turn you into an handbag" Connor has spoken about leaving the cobbles when she goes off on maternity leave. The actress has just filmed her exit scenes, to be show in February and PA News reveals that Carla has a huge showdown with husband Tony Gordon when she learns he killed Liam.Alison will return to the Street but she is not sure how or when. She said: "Obviously it depends how long I take off, but the way it's been left open is just brilliant. Only Carla knows for sure what Tony's done so that leaves it open for anything to happen while she's away."
