Antony Cotton on Corrie's first gay wedding?

Antony Cotton, who plays Coronation Street's Sean Tully, is quoted in The People about the tabloid- rumoured first gay wedding in Corrie if Sean weds Marcus in a civil partnership this spring.

The People quote Antony  as saying how thrilled he is with this storyline, etc.

However, news just in from Antony Cotton via twitter: "Just so you know I haven't spoken to anyone at The People. I'll be having words..." and "All Charlie and I know is he returns in March and we're both thrilled and looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Sean & Marcus"
Anyway, I know nothing's been confirmed on this story yet but I do hope it's true.

Tommy Duckworth returns and splits up Corrie couple

Tommy Duckworth's return to Coronation Street will cause chaos for lovers Tina and Graeme. Ex-Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain will play Tommy Duckworth when he returns to the Street and tries to steal sexy Tina from lovable Graeme, played by Michelle Keegan and Craig Gazey.

A show insider told The People: “Tina and Graeme didn’t count on Jack and Vera’s grandson rocking the boat. It’s going to be a great storyline. The viewers adore Graeme but Tommy definitely has some of his dad Terry’s cheeky charm. Chris and Michelle will sizzle together on screen.”

In the story, Tommy does not know his grandad Jack has died until he arrives back in the Street.

Tracy Barlow to be new Rover's barmaid

Would you want Tracy Barlow to serve you a milk stout from behind the bar of the Rover's Return? 

Say it ain't so, but The Daily Mirror reckons she's being lined up as the next Coronation Street barmaid before she leaves - for good?

Tracy has worked at the Rover's before, for one day only in 2003. She was sacked by Shelly Unwin for being lazy.

It will be open for tours from April to September 2014.

Visit the exterior of the Granada TV  Building on Quay Street. On the entrance, up the steps leading into the building are blue plaques dedicated to some of the Corrie classic actors.  Well worth a look.

Find the Coronation Street mural in the Northern Quarter. If you find it and can tell us which street it's in, please do so we can let other fans know.  Here's a picture of it.

The Old Grapes pub was once owned by Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth) on Little Quay St.
Visit a pub called The Rovers Return in Salford, Manchester.
