Can't believe that Todd is falling for Theo's BS...he knows better or is he just so lonely that he'll tolerate being treated poorly? If it were to happen to one of his buddies, I'm sure he'd give him advice..red flags. Run Todd Run!!
It's meant to be about coercive control but, Todd would never succumb to it. He has a chequered history and is more likely to be the controller.
But people do become involved in relationships that aren't beneficial for them and they stick with it, even if others can see what they can't. Todd probably thinks he can't find anyone decent, so he'll stick with Theo.
Sarah was foolish for leaving Adam and getting involved with Damien but she wanted passion.
Abbey is convinced she is in love with Carl but she'll soon discover that she's picked a bad ' un who has no interest in bringing up Alfie.
I don't think abbey would have an affair, as Carl has no redeeming features and she knows it's good to stay where she is.
Both Carl and Theo are very skilled manipulators. Carl works on Abby's need for excitement; Theo, judging by their innuendos, is probably extremely skilful in bed. After all, Todd is in a very unthrilling profession. As is often the case in Corrie, Todd and Abbi are virtually friendless. George is a mentor not a friend and Todd has no close family to look out for him. I wonder that George doesn't message Eileen but maybe that's planned for somewhere along the line. Abbi is on her way out so her exit story is quick rather than authentic. By way of contrast, the Amy/Nina/Summer etc group does feel true to life and they give good advice to each other. The emerging middle-aged mens group in the Rovers might do the same thing but Todd really needs a younger crowd.
Good points but Todd does have close friends - Billy and Sarah. But Abbey hasn't any female friends as such. Her exit will probably be low key.
She'll find out that Carl has been seeing James bailey on the sly, pack up and go stay with a cousin or a distant friend that we've never heard of. It'll be rather like Jenny's low key and very swift exit.
Too many talented cast members are leaving or they've been written out. It's a shame.
Well said Humpty. Only now is Billy bring a proper friend to Todd, but he's leaving. If only Todd could talk to Theo's ex Owen.
Latest online news is that Abi isn't leaving, so Lord knows what will happen with Carl.
Maybe Nina and Amy can persuade Asha not to give up her paramedic training.
The men's support group looks promising too.
