It's Corrie court week with Lauren on trial for murder most horrid. Since Cait Fitton is one of the few under 35s not leaving the show, I assume, despite the goings-on in this ep, that she will be found not guilty. Before that though, we have Roy standing up for her (literally) but then Borstal Bree, who turns out to be a Deering stooge, claims Lauren attacked her and broke her arm. Even the prosecution lawyer is, like whaaaaat? Lauren's day gets worse as Frankie is admitted to hospital with a high temperature and then Max is pushed to talk about Lauren's racist past. Lauren does herself no favours by telling the court she's glad Joel is dead. But then Deedee turns up with a new-new haircut and reveals that Joel's dad paid Bree to lie to the court. Dastardly dealings from Deering!
Toyah approaches Abby re: her hallucinations but Abby tells her, in true Doncaster style, to keep her neb out, but Toyah's need to counsel won't be stopped and she suggests a grief counsellor. Abby verbally attacks her, saying she killed Alfie's dad and now she's trying to take Alfie away from her. It gets worse for Toyah as Tracy and Leanne team up as Gen XX to paint the town cerise. It's 1997 all over again! They go full Karen on Toyah in the Bistro, shouting their order at her and making poor vegan Toyah place an order for steak. Abby chooses this point to have a go at Mrs Habib, leading to the mean girls sniggering at her. Harry Visinoni gets another, probably much needed, pay day as Abby hallucinates him on the cobbles - I guess there must be a good barber in heaven since Seb has had a haircut since he was murdered.
Daniel tells Daisy that he wants her to do a DNA test to find out who the baby-daddy is (DNA stands for "Daisy Not Aware" in this case). They go off for an emergency test whilst Bethany is ringing That London to talk her way into the previously offered job - which'll probably last for 9 months. She tells Daniel that she has found a flat in Clapham to rent. Clapham! More likely Croydon on a journalist's wages. At least she'll be able to show off her new pistachio vintage handbag.
